But when naked pictures are leaked online, Min’s entire life is upended. And as it turns out, his main competition and longtime adversary FlameThrower is a woman prepared to win at all costs... just the way he likes it. But as the tournament draws near, Hayden discovers she’s also sexy and fun and distracting at a time when Hayden needs to focus. And if Hayden’s not careful, what he thought was just a con fling is going to turn into much, much more. Now they’re thrown together at the biggest fan convention in the world. The stakes are high, the prize a windfall large enough to tempt them both. Min and Hayden are both determined to fight for their dreams... even if it ruins their chance at love.
Ayla Chandler is the pen name for a writer turned author who loves romance novels and finally decided to try writing them. She lives in California where she is often in pajamas with two cats, drinking too much coffee, and staring at an ever-growing TBR pile.
Okay this was so cute! Was the writing perfect? Maybe not, but the story and characters were just so good that it didn’t matter and it still gets 5 stars from me 😂 Hayden and Min are so cute and I love them both so much. I really enjoyed the small element of suspense underlying the larger themes in the book. It made the stakes higher without being over the top, if that makes sense. Looking forward to book 2!
Thank you to Booksirens and the publishers for providing me with a free digital arc, to leave a voluntary and free review.
This novel follows the love-filled plot of streamers that go through trials as they come to love each other. Minerva, nicknamed Min, is a popular streamer who goes by the alias FlameThrower and her bubbly pink life is turned upside down as explicit photos of her are leaked, and her privacy and supporters start to fade away rapidly. In an attempt of desperation, she enters a gaming competition as a form of last hope, and she has more emotions to endure as she begins to feel drawn to her faceless gaming enemy, DeathsHead.
Personally, I loved this novel so much more than I expected. My high standards for romance yet deep love of video games became intertwined as I continuously consumed hundreds of pages that made me laugh and smile nonstop. The issues of nonconsensual breaches of privacy were dealt with strongly by both of these characters, and I am thoroughly pleased with how the author was able to manage these issues, while simultaneously building a strong relationship that is built on trust and proper communication. I grew unbelievably attached to these characters, and the fact that I was able to give a romance book a very high rating of 4.5 stars, is strongly uncharacteristic of myself, but I truly did love this book. My rating was very near to a perfect 5 stars, but the only thing that deterred me was the pacing of the romance. My personal opinions cause me to love a slow-burn romance, so while I understand the logical pacing of this novel, I still would have preferred it to be a bit more drawn out. Also, I understand the reason for Hayden's actions at the beginning of the novel, but the elevator scene still felt like a breach of privacy, on many levels. However, besides those comments, which I could barely call a complaint, I absolutely loved this book and the author's engaging writing style and humane characterization style, and I will definitely be giving this an enjoyable reread in the near future.
Overall, reading this was a wonderful experience and I look forward to reading more work by this author. The plot and romance captivated me in the most exciting ways, and while I am very aware of my bias towards video games, this book really was a pleasant read. Thank you again to Booksirens, and especially thank you to the author for providing me with what has been the highest that I have ever rated a romance novel. It really was an amazing experience to read this novel.
Now Streaming is a romance set in the world of online video gaming and the streaming industry. It's not a space I know well, and I found the plot interesting.
Min is a popular streamer who takes pains to game as Flamethrower, a persona different enough from her day-to-day self to protect her privacy. At least, until an ex-lover bent on revenge tries to take her down a peg.
Hayden, one of Min's most popular adversaries, also wants to protect his identity and never shows his face online. Their long-standing rivalry is sufficient to drive ratings that when an up-and-coming gaming company wants to build some buzz about a new game, they both get contracted to participate in a tournament with a big cash prize.
Things come to a head at Kickoff, a gaming conference that feels similar in scope and popularity to Comic-Con.
I enjoyed Ayla Chandler's debut and the issues it explores about being a powerful woman in an industry dominated by men.
This is a cute, fun rom-com style book with good hits of spice. The characters had fun chemistry and banter. I appreciated that the rivalry wasn't so intense between them but instead rivalry only really existed more in the pixelated world while outside of it, they were just Min and Hayden. Two people who were working toward their goals and supporting each other a long the way. Do not fear if you are not a gamer. This book is still for you. While, I truly appreciate how it is written with a familiarity of the gaming world, it is not so niche that it feels inaccessible. Actually, I appreciate the way Ayla Chandler handled a girl in the gaming world. It is a great glimpse for those who aren't familiar. Girl gamers are not a new thing. We have been around forever but now with social media and streaming platforms, a larger space has been carved out in the community for us...for the most part. It is still not unheard of for us to run into stupid, demeaning comments about our skill as a player because of gender or be harassed for simply existing in a male dominated space. And to be very clear, this is different than just shit-talking with your friends, or even ribbing that happens with strangers. It is very direct harassment. It had honestly been a long time since it had happened to me, but recently it did and somehow, I forgot how frustrating, annoying, and uncomfortable it is when you are just trying to have fun (and spread some democracy!). I appreciate how Chandler handles Flamethrower harassment and good interactions with other players. It felt genuine.
This book was so much more fun than I expected it to be. Picked up on a whim after a recommendation and read it one night when I couldn’t sleep, this book exceeded my expectations. It was a fun exploration into the world of gamer streaming, exploring the difficulties of being a woman in that world. Min is a popular gamer who keeps her identity private until an ex posts naked pics of her online, destroying her sponsorship. Hayden is a private but popular streamer who will do anything to keep his identity private. Their lives collide in the expected ways but it doesn’t stop it from being fun to read.
Smart and sexy, this book was everything I want in a romance. It was steamy but lacked the obnoxious miscommunication trope that so often exists. And yes, it made its way to an inevitable conclusion but it was a ridiculously fun ride getting there.
I loved the concept of this book. The storyline was intriguing, it had the soft touches of enemies to lovers trope with the nuances of the gaming world, giving the book such an added edge. It was new for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
If I'm honest though, I couldn't really decipher the two MCs' personalities. It seemed a little all over the place. Min, the fmc, declared herself a lot more tame than her alter ego and gaming persona, Flamethrower, but she didn't seem all that tame most times. She was a little spitfire all the way through I didn’t really understand the need to distinguish between her real self and her online persona. Literally the only difference was that Flamethrower wore lots of makeup, different clothes and a wig. That's like the bare minimum on the differentiating front. And as for Hayden, I wasn't sure if I liked his character. From the get go Min's consent and the say she had in her privacy and sense of self is ripped away from her when her ex leaks nudes of her and then her first interaction with Hayden is him accusing her of taking his picture. He practically manhandles her and somehow I was meant to believe they'd be perfect together. Like I understood his paranoia and anxiety but I just did not like their first in person interaction. I hated that he called her 'baby' and I hated how he invaded her personal space when she kept telling him no. Usually, I don't mind the petname babe or baby but this time I really understood how it might creep you out. I also did not enjoy his general jealousy. I don't care what anyone says, jealousy is not cute. Possessiveness is not sexy. It's demeaning and it's toxic. So, while the storyline was fun and entertaining, I didn't much like the mcm and I'm not sure how I felt about Min either. I need characters I can root for. And while I can sympathise with how these characters were crafted, I can't say I enjoyed them very much. Hayden just seemed like a paranoid, jealous prick who seemingly valued his privacy above all else but then willingly engaged in sexual activities in public and just barged into situations, temper first. It was so annoying how he'd get so angry and just threaten people. Granted the assholes deserved it but I didn’t like it. Especially because he took away Min's voice and here's where her character traits came in. Like she was a spitfire but was she really? And Hayden loved this about her but then any chance he got he took away her right to defend herself. I don't get it, man. And somehow, miraculously, at the end of the whole blow up he finally decides Min is capable of taking care of herself and fighting her own battles. I'm supposed to believe that he just magically had a character transformation within the space of less than 24 hours? Nah.
Characters aside, I did like that there was no dwindling when it came to them getting into each other. Like the chemistry was there and then they did the deed. There was no slow burn about it. I appreciated that. The steam was satisfying although I didn't enjoy the extent of the dirty talk. It was a lot. But Hayden's voice was like his thing so I guess that makes sense. Which brings me to my final point, this book fully encompasses how quick people are to cancel others. One nude picture and Min's reputation was ruined. Her entire character came into question and despite her releasing statements that she in fact did not consent to these images being photographed, they still made her the villian. Both fans and sponsors alike dropped her like a sack of potatoes and despite how good she is as a gamer, all of that was erased because the world saw her naked. And this was the crux of it, one thing suddenly became her entire schtick even when she was clearly the victim. The reality of this, the way the author homed in on men and their fragile egos and privilege, how some men hate to be challenged, especially in things they deem 'manly', it's insanity. A man loves a girl who can do boy things only if she can do it less impressive than he can. The way the author fully grasped this, that's what ultimately won me over.
I'd definitely recommend if you enjoy a soft enemies to loves with a huge gaming influence. Hayden's character aside, it's a pretty decent story. I say, read it.

THIS story was so refreshing. I’ve never seen a book about a gamer character, BUT THERE WAS TWO OF THEM. I HAVE NO WORDS FOR THIS BOOK. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE PERFECTION I CANT EVEN DESCRIBE HOW GOOD IT IS. Hayden is such an amazing guy. I love how supportive, caring and sweet he is. He made sure Min was always feeling good and comfort her when she was feeling a little bit down. His words and actions speak louder than a loudspeaker. I loved the way they both met, although Hayden was a big dummy and acted like an asshole at first, when he found out the truth you could see that he was sorry about the way he reacted to the situation. He is such a big sweetheart. Minerwa is one of the strongest female characters I’ve even got to see. Her confidence and the way she carried herself even tho people think so less of her IS A BIG TURN ON. She acts like she doesn’t care about those people and opinions, but deep down she is a sentimental and sensitive girl that would do anything for her family and just to be happy with the things she does for work. And I loved the way she was one of the best games! LIKE YES. Girls are capable of being the best gamer too! I loved the way the author created all the positive characters. Especially Randall, the biggest fan of her. It was so sweet to see her connect with him and see him being so passionate about her work and sharing it with “other unknown people”. The group friend- also perfect. I love that their whole pact support each other and them being there always for each other. The way being a gamer and all the games and how it work were described makes me feel so grateful to the author. I love how she actually talked about characters professions and not just mentioned it. I hated the way other people treated Min, she deserves so much better. The plot twist- predictable but I was still surprised that people could do such things just to get money and fame out of it. The way she was treated was so not fair, especially when she didn’t do anything wrong. OVERALL, LOVED IT SO MUCH. THIS AUTHOR. PLEASE MARRY ME. I WILL DEFINITELY BE READING MORE FROM THIS AUTHOR SOON. CANT WAOT FOR OTHERS BOOKS.

This was a really enjoyable read. The story was interesting. The fact that it was about 2 streamers was pretty original and refreshing for me.
Both of the characters were well written and their relationship flowed easily. I was mad at Hayden for one scene at the beginning of the book but he made it up by being a real supporter to Min throughout her hurdles.
This book explores the difficulty of being on internet and especially in the video games industry. It also touches on the subject of intimate pictures being taken unknowingly and unwillingly and then shared and used without consent. Those subjects really made me connect and empathize with Min’s character and her resilience.
The anxiety that Hayden suffers from really helped shaping his character and made us understand his decisions and behavior. It wasn’t developed in details and stayed on the surface level, which I regret, but it was a nice touch to add.
Do NOT get fooled by the cute cover, it is steamy! The characters explore a kink that is not usually so developed in a RomCom and I am here for it!
There were a few writing mistakes (sentences that were written twice for example). They were nothing that really impacted my reading experience but they could have avoided. I felt that the description for the avatars that the characters played in the game was a bit too detailed and realistic for a video game but it might just be my perception.
All in all this was a really good book and I’m looking forward to reading other stories by this author!
I don't write reviews. Ever. (And please excuse my English, I'm not native) BUT I saw that this book didn't have many reviews so here we go because I think that the author deserve WAY more hype. Like seriously. First the MMC made me think of Corpes and I screamed in delight when I realised that after a few pages. I don't know if it is voluntary (but I'm pretty certain that it is) but if it is, my gamer heart is flapping. Secondly, there is no slutshaming whatsoever, even when the plot could have suggested it, even by omission. Thirdly, I'm so happy to read a romance book about people who look like me, and have the same interest as me. It's like a confort blanket and I love it. Fourthly, sexism and misoginy are plaguing the gaming industry and it truly breaks my heart. I cannot count the times that I had to mute during online games because of chauvinistic trashtalk. It is important to talk about it specially these years with all the scandals that have been revealed in the industry. Fithly, the plot and the writing are classic and it is part of what I love about this book because it is an easy read, fast passed which never let you down. Finally, I hope that this book will receive the attention it's deserve, and by the way, that it will push women, which are the main target of romance book such as this one (sadly, but it is what it is), towards gaming and discovering the different types of video games and entertainment around it. YOU GO GIRLS, TAKE THIS REMOTE (or keyboard if you're real 💜) AND KILL ALL OF THESE FU*****
Remember when your parents told you that you could not make money playing video games? Guess what people do and build their whole lives on it. Min and Hayden are both popular game streamers in their own circles online. Viewers especially love the rivalry between the two. However, a scandal has left Flamethower (Min’s online persona) with a dwendelling fanbase. Hayden’s online presence, DeathsHead is known mostly by his voice to protect his anonymity. As they grow closer together, they find they are more alike than different. Both of these characters are trying to find a work/life balance doing what they love. Min’s scandal is realistic and also highlights the disparity women face in the world of gaming. I loved her persistence and ability to see good in people, while still being a bit snarky. Hayden has goals beyond streaming and deals with some of the same daily struggles many in gaming do. Yes, there is a bit of gaming terminology in this book but as a wife and mom of gamers, nothing was too complex for my understanding. If you have seen at least one video gaming clip online, you can make sense of everything. And honestly if you are reading and/or considering this book, gaming is part of what drew you to it. It stays true to the gaming community. It does not read as a debut novel. Both of the characters were well thought out and relatable, and show the struggle we all find ourselves in during a digital age. How much do we give the world or us and how much do we save for ourselves?
I received an advance review copy for free, and all opinions are my own.
This was super cute and surprisedly spicy. I loved the idea of a gaming streamer romance. Both characters were well written and had amazing chemistry. Even though the main portion of the book happened over the course of a few days, it didn't feel rushed.
I liked that there was talk of anxiety but felt like it could've been written better, it was a background thing and ended up not being a big deal in the end and that isn't what anxiety is in real life.
There was an instant love trope but it wasn't gaudy and written well. This will never be one of my favorite tropes but I will admit the author wrote it well.
The one thing about the book that I didn't like is when the actions of the female character went against what she stood for. She learned her lesson and knew the horrible consequences that would occur but still proceeded to do the thing. Also an issue with a side character that had a big impact on the book was taking care of too easily/not really taken care of. I know that was a terrible explanation but I don't want to spoil the book!
The other thing that I disliked about the book is the characters felt more like teenagers than adults, their conversations didn't have the substance that would push their interactions to that adult range.
Overall, a super cute book with an interesting storyline that I would recommend for cute and simple read.
Special thanks to BookSirens and the author for proving me with an arc of this book in exchange of an honest review.
THIS ONE WAS REALLY FUN TO READ.
Honestly from the moment I saw this book, read the title and the summary I was intrigued. Books about gamers are scarce, especially books that center around a streamer. Let alone a woman streamer. So I was sold.
Reading this book was thrilling, fun and entertaining. Exactly what you'd expect from a book about gaming and streaming.
I really enjoyed reading Min's story. And I feel like a lot of women streamers can relate to her in one way or another. Hayden on the other hand, meh, his personality wasn't bad, but I really didn't appreciate how he kept calling Min "baby" or "babe" even after she told him not to. Such a jerk move ngl.
The writing was nice, really easy to read and managed to incorporate gaming and streaming terms without it being pretentious or having the reader not comprehend what was going on. Some scenes were incredibly infuriating and I wanted to throw my e-reader across my room lol. But I loved how everything came together at the end and I never would have seen that plot twist coming. Such a satisfying ending tbh.
The smut in this book though >>>>>>>>>>>
We need more books representing content creators! They're honestly so fun.
I adored this steamy, sexy romance between two hardcore gamers! Even though I'm not a gamer, I was immediately drawn into the world of Min, a pink-haired female gamer whose popularity plunges when her jerk of an ex-boyfriend releases compromising photos of her in the middle of a very intimate act online. The gaming community naturally turns on her (ugh!), and Min loses sponsorship and viewers for her streaming channel that she relies on financially. The last person she expects help from is her online rival, DeathsHead, but when she runs into him at a gaming company. The deep-voiced, mysterious guy behind DeathsHead is bossy, pushy... and sexy of course! And they're going to be competing against each other live at the big upcoming gaming convention, Kickoff. Naturally, when they get there, sparks fly between the two! Their chemistry is off the charts, and there are some seriously charged, steamy, and sexy scenes between them! But they also connect emotionally, and I love how protective and caring Hayden was towards Min. And I'm of course not going to spoil the ending, but it was VERY satisfying, and I was cheering. I absolutely adored Now Streaming, and I can't wait to read whatever Ayla Chander writes next!
Min (FlameThrower) is one of the best in the male-dominated gaming profession. She has to be tough, calculated, and strategic, but she always seems to have fun with it. DeathsHead is her fiercest opponent and their competition during live streams draws the most views. Her popularity had skyrocketed until scandal struck.
This was such a FUN read! The competition between these two is exciting (I’m reminded of my gamer-children, one who streams as well). I’m also a girl-gamer mom, so this was an especially charming story for me. But it’s also an example of how narrow-minded, unforgiving, and judgmental people can be, and of the double standard that still exists in society. And I’m totally in love with Hayden - his respect for Min as a colleague and as a person (and hers for him) and the sexy, witty banter they share is pretty hot.
This was my first read from this author. I’ll be checking for more.
I really enjoyed this book. Min is a video game streamer and that's not a very confortable job for a woman, because unfortunately many gamers are extremely mysoginistic. On top of that, she also has to deal with a horrible ex that decides to take revenge on her for dumping him by publishing photos of her that she didn't even know were being taken.
And that's when she meets Hayden, another video game streamer that is her #1 enemy. Of course they end up having to work together.
The story itself is good, I liked the characters, their banter and all they go through until they finally get together. For those who go to these kind of gaming/comics conventions, you'll feel right at home. That part was really fun for me.
I do think they got together too fast, but besides that, I liked how their story went. It was a nice romance to read.

So, I very much enjoyed that our main characters were gaming streamers, which was new for me in a romance read. I've listened to a few romance reads where gaming was a topic but as a mom who doesn't have much time for video games or social media streaming sites I didn't know how I was going to like this...but I did! I actually kinda loved it! Chandler gives us some great, fresh characters. Amazing chemistry, fun storyline that was captivating and flowed smoothly from the start and throughout! Just an overall fun romance that I think is perfect for the times! Definitely going to be on the look out for more from Chandler!

Ahhh this book made me so happy! I’ve never really read a gamer book before but I loved the idea have two different personas - and the camaraderie between the competitors. Minerva(Flamethrower) had so much going for her and it made me so mad at what happened but she handled it like a champ - such a strong FMC. Hayden(DeathsHead) was a heart throb - like I can picture him speaking and just getting so flustered and he has such a big heart and really showed his admiration for Min! This book kinda gave me “The Love Hypothesis” Vibes. I can’t wait to see what else this Author has. I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Gamer romance ✅ Enemies to Lovers ✅ Spicy rating 🌶🌶🌶🌶
This was a funny, nerdy and cute book.
Minerva aka FlameThrower has a problem. When an Ex ruins her gaming reputation by posting naked pics of her, she tries to recover a few months later by joining a gaming tournament that will also have her gaming nemesis on board: DeathsHead.
During the tournament days, they get to know each other and become something like friends….but both are feeling the attraction, and it turns into a fling.
I enjoyed it!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Okay so I have no idea how to discuss how much I loved this book without giving away the plot. It was amazing, from start to finish. Straight into the plot and drama but not too much and definitely not too predictable. I ADORED the gaming aspect as it combined my two favourite things, reading and gaming with my boyfriend! This needs to be everyone’s next TBR and I will shout it from the rooftops. P.S The 🌶 is * chefs kiss *. Absolutely amazing, iconic, the consent 100% P.P.S Hayden is a true king 👑 P.P.P.S THE COVER IS TOP NOTCH AND SO CUTE I NEEEEED A PHYSICAL COP

Thank you to BookSiren for providing this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book exceeded any expectations that I had. It’s full of tension, banter and a perfect amount of spice. Despite not being a gamer, this story kind of made mes what to explore that culture more.
Min is a strong, powerful women who learns to fully accept herself due to a number of challenges. Hayden is a reserved, passionate, driven man who is almost perfect.
This was a great story with an great representation on mental health and relationships.
This is a story that I think people will throughly enjoy.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I really enjoyed this book. I’ve read many gaming girl series being a gamer myself. The alpha female Min (Minerva) kicked butt and took names. Sadly, there are still so many gender stereotypes in the gaming world and world in general. This book highlighted the double standards and made sure the outcome was in everyone’s favour plus a happy ending… in more ways than one ;). I would read this book over again for sure.

4.75⭐ 🌶🌶 I had a great time reading this book! I wasn’t sure how the story would go, since I’ve not read a book about video game streamers, but the author kept the story moving, and even though the relationship moved fast, it felt real and authentic. I was invested as soon as Min and Hayden streamed together. Their banter and sexual tension are *chefs kiss* Hayden!! Those neck grabs 🥵💦

I found this on TikTok when the author was sharing book quotes. I gobbled it up in one sitting. I thought it enjoyable, well-balanced between a plot that fit the space and the "spice" scenes, and stakes I could immediately buy into." The characters don't get a ton of development, but they were bright enough in their archetypes that I found them enjoyable as individuals and as a couple.
A great plot line with comedy and drama between the characters. The experience and expectations between the virtual and reality were same as well as poles apart .The characters were well written and the plot was very enjoyable.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Read this book if you like: 🕹Gaming with a little romance ♥️ Enemies to lovers trope (HERE FOR IT!) 💋storylines where our heroin finds herself and who she’s meant to be 👯♀️ dual perspectives
What I loved: I was unsure when I started that this was a book I’d even like TBH.. but Min & Hayden’s worlds colliding and how they were forced to be around each other got me hooked! This was a really easy light read which I enjoyed as well. Perfect for the summer and reading at the lake or on the beach! I also love Mins story line and how she evolved through the book.
What I didn’t love: Nothing really stood out as UNIQUE or different storyline wise in this one for me. Which isn’t a bad thing but there was nothing that really made me LOVE this book to give it a higher rating. Like I said, great easy read, but nothing grabbed me and had me feeling like I wanted more.
I'm not into video games that much, but that didn't matter one bit. I absolutely love this book so much, and I love Min and Hayden. The continued rivals to lovers thing was done fantastically, and I couldn't be more impressed. Alex was easy to hate throughout, getting easier and easier as the book went on. I read this in one sitting and found myself on the edge of my seat with their last game.

This was a sweet, geeky enemy to lovers romance. Min and Hayden are gamers who consistently battle against each other online while streaming video games. It was a cute and geeky romance with a little bit of spice thrown in. The novel was a light and fun romance that I finished in one sitting!
I loved it! Being a gamer and knowing how the rivalries and chemistry can spark myself I was instantly drawn into the story. The character progression was wonderfully written and the story itself flowed beautifully!
