Flying fighter jets was easier than wooing Emma Charles. I only finished this because I’m two away from completing my reading challenge.
This was teenaged, instalove written terribly. The mains were in their late twenties/early thirties but since they behaved like teenagers, were virgins who had sex for the first time in her parent’s basement, and were all around immature and stupid, I consider this story to be NA.
The writing was terrible and immature. I felt like I was reading some teenager’s wattpad entry. What a stupid, terrible book. The good thing about this book was that I took the next one off my tbr, thereby making it shorter. I don’t recommend this and am putting this author on my no-no list. I don’t have time for shitty writing, bad plotting and immature adult characters.

Pues no fue tan terrible como esperaba, pese a ser breve y precipitado, el romance no me resulto incomodo ( como a veces me pasa con este tipo de historia ), es mas, de haber sido un poco mas extenso y de haber tenido un desarrollo mas serio, podia haber sido una novella aceptable.
En fin, Chasing You se ve a simple vista que no sera el libro de tu vida, sin embargo, puede ser una opcion para cuando tienes poco tiempo o no sabes que leer.

I loved Emma and Vincent.
One look at Emma's head and Vincent was head over hills. Protective to the end. No one had ever affected Vincent like Emma has and vis versa.

There are some tense issues in the epilogue but it’s not the end of the world. What did confuse me is that in the beginning, they say that Frank is called Frank because his head is square like Frankenstein. Then several chapters in, Frank says that Vincent’s call sign is Frankenstein? I really don’t understand.

I loved Vincent and Emma from the start. I love how feisty she is and the instant chemistry between them. I liked Vincent and that he wasn't going to keep her a secret. These two definitely belonged together and I loved it.

Kind of disappointed
27% in and I am so bored it isn't funny. Biscuit? Really? The whole 'last request promise' & 'I'm waiting for the right time but an ass until it comes' ?
If any reviews gush about this book, I would think twice about that one. Good luck fellow readers! Sorry Ella, missed the mark on this one for me.

Argumento:
Vincent
Volar aviones de combate fue más fácil que cortejar a Emma Charles. Si no es su hermano (y mi mejor amigo, aunque reconsiderando seriamente ese título) tratando de bloquearme en todo momento, está el Sheriff de la ciudad tratando de reclamar lo que ya considero mío. Mientras intento convencer a mi (quizás ex mejor amigo) de que soy apto para volar el avión de Emma, tenemos que destronar a este tirano.

Sé mejor que enamorarme del mejor amigo de mi hermano. Por un lado, mi hermano nunca lo permitiría. Por otro, mi hermano es jockey de vuelo, lo que significa que su mejor amigo también lo es. ¿Realmente quiero perder mi corazón por alguien que ama el cielo más que la tierra? ¡Yo se mejor! Sin embargo, con toda seriedad, creo que tengo una mejor oportunidad de finalmente mostrarle a mi pequeño pueblo quién es realmente el Sheriff que de mantener mi corazón intacto.
Mi humilde opinión:
Chasing You es un romance rápido y sexy. Dos mejores amigos, uno se enamora de la hermana del otro pero como dicen, la hermana pequeña siempre está fuera de los límites.
Me gustó la conexión instantánea entre Vincent y Emma. Mucho calor y encuentros a escondidas. Yo sabía que una promesa no podría alejar a los héroes de EG de sus mujeres una vez que las conocen! Aparte, Frank, alias Biscuit, era un tipo que se ponía pesado y sobreprotector. Me pareció un poco exagerado. Pobre Melody! Me encantó cuando ella le contesta a Frank y lo pone en su lugar. Ese hombre tiene que despertar y ver que esa mujer lo quiere!
Hay un poco de drama en la historia con un villano abusador. Pero Emma era valiente hasta la médula y no dejaba pasar las injusticias. No lo dejó salir con la suya y todas las mujeres le dieron lo que merecía.
Vincent tenía la cantidad justa de alfa y no dejó que nada le impidiera estar con Emma y la defendió por supuesto.

Vincent has come home with his best friend Frank, and fellow Navy fighter pilot on leave. On their first night home he sees Emma at the local bar and knows he’s found his one, turns out she is Frank’s baby sister and he is fiercely protective of her. He warns Vincent off. There is an attraction from Emma’s side too but when he’s a bit abrupt with her she gets mad at him. But soon they can’t deny the attraction and Emma says they can have fun and not tell Frank. Vincent doesn’t want to keep them a secret but does want Emma so they sneak around. There is a side story with some suspense, the chief of police, Blake is a bad guy no one in town really likes, he’s also the mayor’s son. We find out later that he has been assaulting women he dates if they say no to him. Emma who is an EMT has been pulling pranks on him but when she is asked for help she finds out he has assaulted another woman she decides the next action needs to be big. Blake catches her and is hitting her when her best friend comes to her rescue and the two quickly leave Blake’s yard. Vincent sees her injured face and after getting Frank they figure out what happened and set out to teach Blake a lesson at the annual field day. After the guys take Blake down on the football field more women come forward with their own assault stories. Vincent being rich makes sure Blake is prosecuted and the mayor is run out of town. Epilogue five years later with them married and expecting their second child. Vincent retired from the Navy and Emma still works as an EMT.
Emma’s bestie Melody is in love with Frank, but he’s being a big dummy and causing her lots of heartache, their story is next.

Plot: Emma's brother brought his best friend Vincent home with him when he left the military. Vincent immediately fell in love with Emma, but Frank doesn't want him messing with his little sister. Vincent tries to comply with Frank's request, but the pull toward Emma is just too strong to ignore.
Commentary: cute, very standard best friend's little sister story. I loved how they took out the bad guy at the football game - that was pretty funny! And honestly, it sounds like Emma's job is great! If I had any medical skill at all, EMT in a very small, slow town would suit me just fine!

Good
This was a good story, but one thing. As a Crimson Tide fan(Roll Tide), our biggest rival is Auburn lol, after that we have smaller ones with LSU, FSU, and Clemson. It is a bigger no no to say anything Auburn lol. Other then that, I loved the instant connection between Vincent and Emma. I loved how much of a take charge sweetheart Emma was too.

Such a cute and spicy story! I loved Vincent and Emma!
I thought Vincent was a great hero, he protected Emma and was very supportive of her. I thought Emma was a bit immature at some points but still a good heroine over all.

✅It's a brother's best friend and obviously, best friend's sister romance.
✅The best thing about every series that Ella writes is, the characters are witty, and the familial bonds are very strong.
✅The execution of upcoming book in this series is going to be very good, because Ella is really good at merging both the plots.
✅I like her series more than the individual releases.
✅Also, I think she lives in a ranch or something cause, apart from Dani Wyatt, country romance is done right by Ella only.

In this story, we have Vincent and Emma.
Vincent came back from mission with his best friend/military buddy Bisc...Frank (Emma's brother).
This was very sweet, Vincent wanted Emma and fought for her, there was humor and some laugh out loud moments peppered throughout the book. When he was asked if he liked Emma he was upfront about it, even if Emma was going to keep it a secret (mainly to protect her heart, as she knew that he was going to stay with them for a week before leaving. Worry not, there is no separation, he stays put with out h. Emma is an EMT and she is a sassy badass, with a hint of sweet! Warning: there are tertiary characters and our Emma that was assaulted (hit and bruised, but NO rape) by the town villain (the sheriff). It is serious, so just a heads up.
This story is super safe
Double Virgins!!!! (He is in his late 20's and she is I think in her mid 20's)

Loved it but I am a little nervous for Frank and Melody's love story...we get to see them a lot in the book, and we know that they knew each other since he was 10 years old, went to high school together, he then left to join the military because staying would mean doing something they would both regret. Hmmm, being with the girl you love is something he thought as a regret? Don't like that. Melody has been sending Frank letters but he never responds as he is not good with words.
We already know there is YEARS of separation, the H did everything to stay away from the girl he is in love with and that just makes me apprehensive. I can only surmise from the fact that he doesn't date or look at women, never has, and that they knew each other since high school, that they both are virgins like Vincent and Emma, (I am praying that is the case). I can't hate him (for now), because he seems so vulnerable, but Melody is so sweet that I am hoping there is a good explanation for him leaving. I hopr there is tons of groveling and that he claims her full force, and fights for her even though she might push him away (and he would deserve that), I hope he has to fight harder, to show her that leaving her was a mistake and he won't be apart from her again.....that is my wish at least. I put my trust in Ella Goode, she is one of my favorite authors and I will devour her next book in this duet 'Chasing Us', like I devoured 'Chasing You'.

Emma and Vincent were a cute couple.
I really liked just how obsessed Vincent became with Emma.
I mean...there's even a line in the book about his thinking she wouldn't appreciate him marking his territory... so yeah. He becomes so obsessed with Emma that its AMAZING!
Although Vincent promised his friend he wouldn't hit on his sister, he can't help but tell Frank to get over it because Emma is his woman.
I gave this one 4 stars even though I absolutely loved the book because of 2 main reasons.
First, Emma's brother's call sign was Frank because he had a square head like Frankenstein. However, later down the road Frank says that Vincent's call sign was Frankenstein. How the heck does that happen and not get confusing?
Second, the synopsis makes it sound as if the sheriff was trying to get with Emma, but honestly throughout the book, I wouldn't say he was trying to get with her and claim her. More like he was just trying to get her off his tail and stop her from her petty actions she was doing.

Sweet! Emma's brother is home on leave from the Navy and he brought his buddy Vincent with him. Its like a bolt of lightning hit Vincent when he spots her in the crowd at the local bar. Too bad her brother isn't on board. So they sneak around at first. Then Vincent can't stand to wait another second to claim her as his. This was a cute read, I enjoyed it. There is a little subplot about the corrupt sheriff that adds a dash of danger. So happy, the next book by this author is about Emma's brother and her best friend, yay!

Safe with exceptions. I think the hero is a virgin. It’s mentioned numerous times he didn’t date or have time for girls and even one place it’s mentioned he doesn’t have experience. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No others, (there’s some minor interest expressed by others but nothing is reciprocated.) no cheating or sharing or abuse. Trigger warning: heroine is physically attacked by a guy and there’s discussions of other women being abused. HEA with epilogue years out.

Vincent and Emma meet and are instantly attracted to one another...her brother, Vincent's best friend, warns Vincent away from Emma...but that only lasts about a hot second and then amazingly Frank, the brother, is all of a sudden okay with them dating...also Emma has an issue with a coworker (her boss?) but of course Vincent takes care of that for her...

4.5 it was a good novella - bit of insta love - moderate spice - some story telling involved and it was just simply enjoyable. The end was slightly abrupt. There was an epilogue but could have done with a couple of chapters to end their story. I would recommend it as a Sunday read when you want to relax and just enjoy a story without expecting deep connections and all the drama (just sufficient drama to keep you engaged)

Why a fun read. Loved the MC and the secondary characters too. Can't wait to read Biscuit and Melony's story.

I loved Vincent and Emma from the start. I love how feisty she is and the instant chemistry between them. One look at Emma and Vincent was head over hills. Protective to the end. No one had ever affected Vincent like Emma has. Grab this sizzling hot read.
