For most people, werewolves are creatures of fantasy, pulled from the pages of fiction novels and seen only in movies. For brothers Ethan, Dustin and Nick Parks, they become beings who are all too real... and the family tree is about to get a little furry.
* * *
Crewe Jackson’s been waiting patiently to claim his mate. Nine years ago both he and Ethan Parks were too young, but now he intends to give his sweet little nerd some lessons in love.
* * *
Chad Sutter has his hands full. Not only has his future mate, Dustin Parks, been accused of dealing drugs, he’s been hurt by someone he trusted. It’s up to Chad to straighten out the mess and prove to Dustin that it’ll take more than a little trouble to put out the growing flame between them.
* * *
Never show weakness. For two men, human Nick Parks and werewolf Lucas Devereau, it’s the creed they live by. Trouble is, just because something is hidden doesn’t mean it’s not there. With a little trust they may just discover in each other a mate who truly understands the heart and soul of an alpha.

As a kid, from the time I learned to read, I've treasured books. Fiction mostly, because I'm the type of person who likes to be taken on journeys of imagination. I guess it was only natural I'd try to orchestrate some of those journeys myself, and share them with others.

Writing can be fun, frustrating, and sometimes even frightening, but it sings a siren song that entices. And whether you end up in the arms of a gorgeous muse, or wreaked on the rocks of broken thought, when you feel the urge to write, you do it.

I do my writing in a turn-of-the-century house located in the midst of Indiana farm country. In addition to dogs, cats and lovebirds, my family keeps me company. When not writing, I read, am an enthusiastic grower of iris, and a fanatic fan of Japanese manga and anime.

This is an omnibus edition of this trilogy (midnight howl being the first book). I really enjoyed these stories. However, I found myself skipping most of the sex after each characters "firsts" with each other. I did enjoy getting to see each brother find their happily ever after. I would prbly give book 1 4 stars, book 2, 3 stars, and book 3, 4.5 stars so I am rating the omnibus with 4 stars. Although, if I hadn't read them all as one I think the first two books would have had gaping holes and I probably would have rated them down. So, end review...you should read these...but read them as a whole, not as individual stories.

3.5 stars rounded up. Pretty standard werewolf mate instalove fare- but cute and written well. Maybe some extra points given how early these were written (2006)? I preferred her later shifter books, like Altered Heart.

Whole trilogy: 2 stars See review below for ratings for individual stories.

My review is in spoiler tags because it hasn't been edited yet and I do most of my note taking on my phone which makes for some creative wording due to the spellchecker. This review probable has too much negative stuff as that's what I tend to think to write down. If I'm enjoying myself, I don't want to stop reading!

There could be actual spoilers, though, so you've been warned.

Midnight Howl (Hoosier Werewolf #1)

Who Let The Wolf Out (Hoosier Werewolf #2) - “Drug dealer? Me?” Dustin is flabbergasted when he’s hauled away by the police, accused of dealing ecstasy. Fortunately his brother’s cute friend is a lawyer but Dustin wanted to get to know Chad man to man not criminal to lawyer. How humiliating.

Chad Sutter has his hands full. Not only has his mate been accused of dealing drugs, he’s been hurt by someone he trusted. It’s up to Chad to straighten out the mess and prove to Dustin that it’ll take more than a little trouble to put out the growing flame between them.

Things That Go GRR (Hoosier Werewolf #3) - Never show weakness. For two men, human Nick Parks and werewolf Lucas Devereau, it’s the creed they live by. Trouble is, just because something is hidden doesn’t mean it’s not there. With a little trust they may just discover in each other a mate who truly understands the heart and soul of an alpha.

In the final installment of this series, Nick and his brothers, Ethan and Dustin are on the verge of discovering a world few humans see. Secrets are about to be revealed and an unforeseen danger faced. The Parks brothers will need every ounce of family loyalty and love they possess to see them through the gathering storm.

***Midnight Howl***

It's very cute and sweet story. no breakups, no fuckups, no crisis.. It's just plain sweet that put me into OD on sugar. ;)
3.8 stars for this one.

***Who Let The Wolf Out***

Like first one, it's an easy read, a bit too easy if I may add. Dustin is like a brat puppy, innocent but also naive. Big shot lawyer Chad is really a best match for him. But the plot itself was a bit dull. Not so much as a page turner, but the love scenes were sexier than Midnight howl.
3.7 stars for this.

***Things That Go GRR***

I think this could is the most interesting of all. They both are so alpha males, proud, showing no weaknesses. How they are figuring out that giving away to their loved one is not a weakness but strength was pleased to watch. The love makings are smoking. no lose ends, happy ending for everybody, easyeasyeasy reading again. :)
This one is 4 srats.

Over all:

It's quite cleverly plotted that revealing the natures of werewolf gradationally through the 3 books. But there is no thrills and not really strongly gripping. But still, enjoyable. :)

So the overall rating is 3.83 stars.

Howl & Prowl, the one stop shop for all three Hoosier Werewolf stories, is, with the exception of the last story, lite on werewolves and heavy on romance. The first two stories are cute and warmed my heart, but had very little to do with werewolves. One half of each couple was a were, but no-one-knew. It's not until the last story that the werewolves come out to play. Needless to say, the third story was my favorite.

I give Howl & Prowl three stars.

This book was sweet but not so much it was too sticky. I loved all the men - they were hot and perfect for each other. It is a collection of 3 stories but they are all 3 connected together as it is 3 brothers who each get a story.

So, the first story is my favorite but the whole book (3 story collection) is worth reading and you have to buy it in order to read the first one since it can't be bought as a stand-alone story.

Very good paranormal m/m romance collection of three stories about werewolves finding their mates. The cover's the usual Changeling Press horror and the title's kind of weird, but this was one well-done and smokin' hot read.
