The special cocktail that can only be ordered once a month, is the code to be able to spend a night with the owner of the pub, Ashihara. Introduced to Ashihara by his senpai in his company, Murakami is totally obsessed with Ashihara. How long can he withstand the torture of being one among many others?
Shoko Hidaka (native name: 日高ショーコ) is a Japanese mangaka unit. The drawings are by Shoko Hidaka, and the stories are by Takie (タキエ) but the author name is always "Shoko Hidaka".
Tells us a story of Murakami, a normal salaryman who fell deeply in love instantly with Asihara, a bartender and the owner of the bar he frequently visit. I can't find 足りない時間 (Tarinai Jikan), which is the starter of this universe, anywhere. That's why sadly I started with this instead. I really like the artstyle so I probably will gobble down all of Shoko-sensei works in the near future.
This was a quick, but not so easy read. I have lots and lots of one shot Manga, so I KNOW it's possible to bring a wholesome story within a limited page number. Sadly it wasn't the case here.
I think Ashihara is quite the problematic type, I love to read about. But the problems the couple has weren't solved. One partner only accepted the other is head-strong. Which can be romantic, but I hate to see that the relationahip works out cause one of the partners is not as strong as the other is stubborn. I think it's sad Ashihara didn't get to show his soft and caring side. Maybe he has none...? Well, we will never know.
