I've gotten the chance to share the book in a variety of settings and hope to do more in the future! I love coming up with creative extension activities - from a sensory treasure hunt to relaxation exercises - and the questions are the best! I have a mock-up copy that shows the work in process that's a tangible way of reflecting on our journey. We always have a blast!(less)

Kelsey Brown I was working at a children's theatre outside of DC as the Access and Inclusion Apprentice and thinking a lot about how to provide our students with p…moreI was working at a children's theatre outside of DC as the Access and Inclusion Apprentice and thinking a lot about how to provide our students with productive breaks. I also spent some time reflecting on my experience seeing the best teachers shape the energy of their classroom. I searched for user-friendly and accessible resources for students, teachers, and parents - and came up short. I started writing a little poem and the rest is history! As Beverly Clearly says, "If you don't see the book you want on the shelf, write it." (less)
