I pray for my prey
Hay is not my forte
My meal comes walking
Hopping jogging or running
Hiding I lay
Awaiting my prey
I pray for a meal
To come my way
But not today
I will go away
And wait another day
I must live or I might die
While I lie
In wait for my prey
A hippo comes strolling
And I start drooling
But not too soon
A cobra comes crawling
He hissed and missed
I sprang and the hippo sang
It's not its day to be in my fang
O that cobra
Made me lost a hippo
And an enormous supper
What a day
I was almost a cobra's prey
Tomorrow is another day
I must wait and catch my prey”
