Marta K. Destler nasce a Iglesias nel 1989. Nostalgica di luoghi mai visitati e tempi lontani, innamorata dell’architettura (il suo lavoro) e dell’arte, della Scozia e della sua gatta, di Tolkien e della Terra di Mezzo, racconta e legge storie da quando era bambina e non ha mai smesso – nonostante il tempo per farlo non sia mai stato abbastanza. È stato proprio il tempo, e la paura che incute, a spingerla a scrivere e finire il suo primo romanzo, “Il battito dell’Orologio”, l’ultimo di una lunga serie di incompiuti e fanfiction pubblicate online.
Nel 2024 ha pubblicato un racconto facente parte dell'antologia steampunk "Ingranaggi, Vapore e Tazze di Tè" edita Fucine Editoriali, ambientato nello stesso universo di IBDO.
