I was reading catching fire and I was thinking of other quarter quells that could happen to make the games more exciting. I could only think of one where they send only 24 tributes from one district to symbolize the traitors in the dark days. What are some you guys can come up with?

Jules:) I'm kinda confused...they don't send 24 tributes from one district..they send 2...so ya

No like in the Quarter Quells they make a twist to make the games them more exciting that are different from ordinary games rules. Examples: 1st quarter quell-the tributes are voted into the games by the citizens of their districts. 2nd quarter quell-48 tributes are sent into the arena instead of the regular 24. 3rd quarter quell- past victors are sent back into the games instead of new children. So what other twists do you think could be added to the games?

Kirby well, one could be making sure the two tributes from each district are very close- best friends, or lovers, or siblings...

in yours, which district would have to send all the tributes?

I'm not sure I was just thinking the capitol holding a reaping of all the districts and when they pull out one district, that district has its reaping and the others are spared for that year.

Dillon R. Every child under 16 AND OVER 11 should go

Nya Tomlinson-Horan-Malik-Payne-Styles my twist would be that everyone would be put in teams with tributes from another district. and then break the news to them that they have to choose 1 person to kill. i would do this several times until the tension is REALLY strong.

This isn't really a quarter quell but this would be a twist on the games:
Make the arena a high school. Only food is in the cafeteria. Only 20 water fountains. One stops working every time someone is killed. But its like a normal school. You have to attend classes and the other students are other tributes. Holographic teachers. And anytime someone gets in trouble or leaves class without permission or doesn't do their homework (whatever it may be ... perhaps find something or do something.) or kills someone during school hours they get in some kinda trouble- I'm not sure what though.

Jules:) Oh I get it now! Hmm I would do a normal reaping, except each teen would have to take their parents, and then the parents and the teens would be spilt apart. The parents would then have to team up with other district teens and half to fight against their own children...kinda sick but the Captiol might have done something similar.

I was wondering about more quells myself. Your idea is interesting. I was thinking maybe a very odd arena, like a giant stone maze.

PS Love the profile picture

Yes! I love Maze Runner!

I actually had to do a school project on my own version of THG. I did a maze.

I'm jealous of you two! And my teacher calls herself a HG fan *shakes head in disappointment*

Haha sorry. My teacher IS taking us to see the movie on a field trip! Shes so awesome!

Ziyue My English teacher doesn't let us read it as a class reading because she said that it was too bloody:( But what's ironic is that almost everyone in my grade has read the series.

My 6th grade teacher did that. She gave us reading catalogs for like 2nd graders and when we asked for the teen catalog she said it was too grown up for us! We were so mad =/
