Rahmanuddin Shaik Is there any one context in the book that relates to current political scenario? In my opinion, almost everything has been covered in the book, right from bribes, paid news, spying, politics, what not. Whats the other readers' opinion?

Vidya Sagar Penumatsa All things in this book has a very close connection to Indian political system...Even the telecom scam is a recent event...

I really wondered how author have done such a research on Indian political system

By far, description is apt

Nicely blended in the story are the recent scams that came into light in Indian politics

Tulika When I started reading the book, each and every page I go through seems like I have observed this. Also, I verified from internet resource to find out whether it is based on some real person/situations.... I could find some of the related articles. But really a great novel. Worth reading and spending.

Ankur Chawla Not only the current indian political system.. the book if seen from various angles has been repeated by many indian historical players again and again and again...

Vamsi The way the author maintained to keep the curiosity of the reader through out the book is really awesome.

Var yep, u can even see some political players in the book..

Seema Yes, the scandals and the bribery are very much there in the indian political system. At the same time, Indian politics would not let someone like Pandit Gangasagar to flourish and control the system for long!

Rushikesh Ambekar Yes, Certainly there are some scams which are similar to the current scams. More interesting part is the nature of the scams & thinking behind it is very well mentioned.

Pankaj Shah Really you can relate it to the current political scenarios. Infact I think current political scenario is more dirty than the ones mentioned in book. Book is clearly amazing to read but on political front there is much more. It is just that since we are common people we are not privileged to that high level dirty political information.

Aditya Pasalapudi I liked the way how the author connected the stories of past and present. Nice fiction book to read.

Var I was able to relate to the indian system..just wondering if others felt the same.Thats all..:) good one there by ashwin sanghi

Harsh This book can be summarized in just one word :
"Strategy". Great book !

Gokul Kamath The complex stratagies of politics are portrayed very simply here. I personally didnt like the book as i expected a much better convergence of the two stories. The part of the "mantra" also looked quite out of the line. Was worth a read once but not quite gripping

Tanuja Thapliyal Why was India so easily excited by religion?
Indians could tolerate poor sanitation, pathetic hospitals, lack of schools, potholed
roads, erratic power, unhygienic water and subsistence living, but say something to
offend a man's religion and you had an instant explosion.

Gokul Kamath For a lot of people today religion is their primary identity. It is the way we all were brought up with. Talking against ones respective religion does imply talking against ones set of belief which one has kept and honored all ones life. Although the excitation by religion happens all across the world. This problem in more pronounced in India as we are one of the few "true" secular countries in the world

Ankur Chawla Tanuja, In India everything revolves around religion and this has been the scenario since time unknown. religion has had power to make or break societies and kingdoms to unite and divide people. unfortunately not many people do realize the cons which weight more that pros for fanatic religion ism. until the time comes when people are literate enough to use there brain effectively than Bran the situation will remain the same.

Ankur :)

Kingmakers do exist... only unfortunate thing is that here the kingmakers are themselves corrupt.... Nothing wrong with being a kingmaker, only thing is the motive should be clear...
