Serena Agusto-Cox, a Suffolk University graduate, writes more vigorously than she did in her college poetry seminars. Her poems can be read in The Magnolia Review, MacQueen's Quinterly, The Broadkill Review, The Hill Rag, Dime Show Review, Baseball Bard, Mothers Always Write, Bourgeon, and others. An essay also appears in H.L. Hix’s Made Priceless, as does a Q&A on book marketing through blogs in Midge Raymond’s Everyday Book Marketing. Three poems appear in the Love_Is_Love: An Anthology for LGBTQIA+ Teens edited by Emma Eden Ramos and two poems appear in the online anthology, The Plague Papers. She also runs the book review blog, Savvy Verse & Wit, and founded Poetic Book Tours to help poets market their books. ...more

Nora Ephron
“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
Nora Ephron, I Feel Bad About My Neck and Other Thoughts on Being a Woman

Nora Ephron
“When I buy a new book, I always read the last page first, that way in case I die before I finish, I know how it ends. That, my friend, is a dark side.”
Nora Ephron, When Harry Met Sally

Leo Tolstoy
“If you look for perfection, you'll never be content.”
Leo Tolstoy, Anna Karenina

Zelda Fitzgerald
“Nobody has ever measured, not even poets, how much the heart can hold.”
Zelda Fitzgerald

“I would love to say
that you
make me
weak in the knees
but
to be quite upfront
and completely
truthful
you
make my body
forget
it has knees
at all.”
