Hi, I’m Amy.
As a child I was often called a bookworm because my nose was always in a book … It still is. I read almost anything I can get my hands on, and love to start my day with a few chapters while having breakfast. I also sneak in a few more before bedtime each night.

I was born in South Africa and moved to New Zealand in my mid-thirties. I first dreamt of writing a novel when I was seventeen. I put all my thoughts and ideas on paper and tried to write a book, with no idea of what I was doing. It was a bigger challenge than I was ready to take on. I set the pages on fire and shelved that idea. It took twenty years for another spark of inspiration to hit, the beginning of the ‘Kissing Frogs’ trilogy.

Novel November: Preptober

Preptober – preparation during the month of October for Novel November – has been hectic! October is the start of my busy season at work, so trying to squeeze in five to eight webinars each week (they’re each an hour long) on top of my client load has left me feeling like I’m being stretched very thin. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved Preptober, and still have four more webinars to attend next week.
