Ashley grew up in Malaysia, where her love of stories began with childhood favourites like The Lord of the Rings, Sweet Valley High, and Nancy Drew. After spending the first eighteen years of her life there, she moved to the UK to continue her studies—where she also met her husband.

Now based in the East Midlands, Ashley lives with her husband, their daughter, and their mischievous boy cat. By day, she works as an accountant, immersed in a world of finance and spreadsheets. In her spare time, she can usually be found curled up with her Kindle or out making memories with her family.

Ashley shares her love of books on Instagram and TikTok as @hobsonreads, where she posts reviews and recommends the stories that capture her imagination.

good ending Lovely ending to the series. Enjoyed seeing Lyra take an active role in this book. Also really liked the ending.
