He was born in Ankara in 1990. Although he never lived there, he loved the city deeply. He graduated from Istanbul University’s Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema with a thesis on filmic time editing in animated cinema.

In 2010, he was honored with the “Sports Column of the Year Commendation Award” by the Turkish Journalists’ Association, becoming the youngest journalist ever to receive an award from the Association.

He has published fourteen novels—three of them for children—along with four research books on cinema and crime fiction, and has contributed to fourteen collective volumes.
