New Year, New Writing!

I managed to scramble to re-publish a book from waaay back, as an e-book at the end of December. I’m going to dedicate 2026 to a nmber of things, but one of them will be to write. W.R.I.T.E.

I’m working on one Scifi/Fantasy book. It may be a collection of stories. And one book set in England in the Regency era. It may be a novella. Two of my favourite genres to read, so I thought- why not write

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata
"Reread: July 13, 2020

Shit.

Just finished this two hours ago.

And you know what I've been doing since then?

Eating crow.

Well not for real, obviously.

Yuck.

You know, eating crow. As in admitting I erred. Trying to be humble because I made a mistake. Scre" Read more of this review »

"THERE IS NO SEX!!!
This is a long winded, repeated scene after scene, butt-ass-boring attempt by an author to make the following into a novella:

There's a girl. She's a virgin. She's alone in the world. She has no money. She's close to losing her only " Read more of this review »

"I said I wasn't going to read these, because I thought it was ridiculous of Ms. Ward to demand 2.99 for an installment (which apparently she is drawing out to capitalize on as much money as she can- since there are now 10 installments). at 2.99 a pop" Read more of this review »

A Disappointment.

I love Nalini Singh's work. So I'm judging this based on her usual standard of writing in this series.
I have to wonder if this was written in a hurry. Never thought I'd give one of her books only 3 stars.

A 10 year time skip into the

Toni Morrison
“The function, the very serious function of racism is distraction. It keeps you from doing your work. It keeps you explaining, over and over again, your reason for being. Somebody says you have no language and you spend twenty years proving that you do. Somebody says your head isn’t shaped properly so you have scientists working on the fact that it is. Somebody says you have no art, so you dredge that up. Somebody says you have no kingdoms, so you dredge that up. None of this is necessary. There will always be one more thing.”
