Morgan Biscup (she/her/any) has a great deal to say, but very little to say about herself. It took her an embarrassingly long time to realize she wrote queer books, although in her defense, she's never been good with labels.

An electromechanical engineer by education, she enjoys exploring the impacts of technology and magic on people, cultures, and personal interactions. When she's not hiding in the bedroom to write, Morgan enjoys spending time with her husband, her two amazing daughters, and a highly opinionated cat.

Might be another book. Or a short story. Or some worldbuilding. Heck, maybe a poem. Anything to get the creativity flowing again.

Or, when I can't get writing on anything, I'll bake. There's a psychological reward to finishing something, and when the words won't flow, sometimes all it takes is the sense of accomplishing something else first. And with baking, I get to eat it afterward, while contemplating what to write.(less)

Don't let anyone stop you. We learn by doing, so the more you write, the more you'll learn - about writing, about yourself, about what works best for you and what inspires you the most.

And make sure you write what you love. That doesn't have to be the only thing you write, depending on your goals. But make sure to give time to your passion projects. Encourage that passion. Feed it well. Keep your joy alive.(less)

I love this book so much.

I've got a love for relationships between powerful people who view themselves more as a helpless wet cat and attach themselves to the first person who gives them their first crumb of kindness, and the person who wasn't actual

“Some people don’t deserve second chances.” He glanced at Jake. “But when you get one anyway, that carries the obligation to do the best you can with it, no matter how broken you are. How irredeemable. How much of a monster.”
Morgan Biscup, In Spite of the Inevitable

“If it’s bad opsec to list your crimes on a coffee mug, it’s worse to be caught drinking out of it.”
