Anne Barwell lives in Wellington, New Zealand. She shares her home with two cats who are convinced that the house is run to suit them; this is an ongoing "discussion," and to date it appears as though the cats may be winning.

In 2008 she completed her conjoint BA in English Literature and Music/Bachelor of Teaching. She has worked as a music teacher, a primary school teacher, and now works in a library. She is a member of the Upper Hutt Science Fiction Club and plays violin for Hutt Valley Orchestra.

She is an avid reader across a wide range of genres and a watcher of far too many TV series and movies, although it can be argued that there is no such thing as "too many." These, of course, are best enjoyed with a decent cup of tea and further t

Yes, there will be a sequel. A Knight to Remember was never intended to be a standalone which is why there were unanswered questions at the end of the story. I'm starting the sequel in 2017 - sorry for the delay but I've been waylaid by other projects. The working title is 'A Sword to Rule' and it will finish the series so will probably be a longer book than the first one was. (less)

Great to meet another Kiwi. I'd love to host and interview you. The book sounds intriguing. I'm a little behind with my stack of books to read and review so although I'd love a review copy, it would take some time to get to it. I'll PM you with contact details. (less)

I’m a huge fan of the author’s Mytho Investigations series, so very happy they’re exploring more of that world with this series. I loved the beginning of Pan and Noah’s story, with their complicated relationship and steep learning curves.

Good story but feels more like a Damian storyline with its tone. Not fussed on the artwork either.

Cornelia Funke
“Stories never really end...even if the books like to pretend they do. Stories always go on. They don't end on the last page, any more than they begin on the first page.”
Cornelia Funke, Inkspell

Orson Welles
“If you want a happy ending, that depends, of course, on where you stop your story.”
Orson Welles

“But when ye come, and all the flowers are dying,
If I am dead, as dead I well may be,
You'll come and find the place where I am lying,
And kneel and say Ave there for me,
And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me,
And all my grave will warmer, sweeter be,
For you will bend and tell me that you love me,
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me”
Frederic Weatherly

Henry Ward Beecher
“A house without books is like a room without windows. No man has a right to bring up his children without surrounding them with books, if he has the means to buy them. It is a wrong to his family. He cheats them! Children learn to read by being in the presence of books. The love of knowledge comes with reading and grows upon it.”
Henry Ward Beecher, Eyes and ears

Gail Carson Levine
“A library is infinity under a roof.”
Gail Carson Levine
