Which cover are you talking about? The one for THE SPIDER? That one is set ten years in the past, so that's why Gin looks a little younger on that cover.

Actually, the same model has been used on all the covers so far. They just style her a little differently, I guess.

A while ago I accidentally found your Elemental assassin series while browsing recommendations in the Goodreads site. So I thought I'll go for it, and as soon as I got my hands on it I got addicted to the series not only because it was such a mind-binding story but also because of your writing style.
You have a really good sense of humour and you know how to pour that into your books. I finished off the whole series including the free short stories (Thank you very much for those) within a matter of a week and was lusting for more.

I needed a fix so badly, I went ahead and bought the Bigtime series. Those might be a bit too predictive but that did't hurt the enjoyment of the ride. Plus those books are helluva hilarious. xD
(Every time I crack up my brother peeks into my room and comments "you are doing that weird 'book laughing' thing too often these days and it creeps me out." )
I really hope you'll write more books into that series.

By this time I knew that you can't screw up anything you write cuz you are too much talented for that. Thus I ended up with the two available books of the Mythos academy series, even though I am not much into young adult series (They are too less violent for my taste. :D )
I see that you have soften your style of writing to suit the teens but still I love those books so much as they also contain a really interesting story line with lots of mysteries and open ends to continue from. (I am really suspicious about Gwen's dad and the hateful attitude Nickamedes has towards her...hmmm...)

I rarely write messages to authors or reviews for the books cuz I am too much of a lazy brat. But in your case I got more than enough of an energy boost and motivation to write you to encourage you to write the next books of your series as soon as possible as I am dieing to read more...:D
And I also want to request you to write more and more new series cuz in me you have an eternally devoted fan who will read anything you write and I am sure that I'm not the only one. ;)

I read "Halloween Frost" in the anthology "Entangled" and absolutely fell in love with Gwen's character. Because of that story I have already read the back story of how Gwen came to lose her mother and started on Book #1. I've also pre-ordered book #2 for my nook.
