My dad was a career Air Force officer, 20 years, so we moved around a lot. I grew up all over the country, meeting lots of different people. I think it gave me a sense of independence because my environment changed every few years and I had to be adaptable. I also got to see how everything is connected -- region, politics, economics, etc. Dad's a Vietnam vet, so history was always really relevant to me, I've always seen historical events as something that affects individual people. And I also just really love reading and learning -- I have a Master's in English lit. My whole family is like that, so it all feels really natural.(less)

“I'm a werewolf trapped in a human body."
