3.5 BREATHE Stars!

 photo cba4e96e-4010-47d2-bee2-409fb905737b_zps0a14d6a4.jpg

I am a huge Kristen Proby fan. Books 2-6 in her ‘With Me in Seattle’ series are favorites of mine! This book was more like the first book for me. A little too sweet and just missing a little something.

Mark Williams is Luke’s brother. He’s the guy who’s never settled down, and now we know why. He was in love once- in high school. To a girl named Meredith. She was his first, his only, his everything.
“I’m so happy that we waited of reach other.”

“I want to be your only, baby.”

“You do?”

“Oh, yeah. It’s you and me, M and M against the world.”

Meredith had big dreams. To be a dancer. That is a job where you can have zero distractions. Even though she loved Mark, she left him behind and decided to break things off. They both were heart broken, but it’s the way it had to be.

Ten years later, and Meredith is back in town for good. When Mark sees her again, it’s like no time has passed at all. She’s still just as beautiful. Mark missed Meredith so much, and she missed him as well. It’s like they pick up right where they left off.
‘There were days that I would have exchanged a year of my life to just touch you one more time.’

 photo 55b06d16-00fc-4627-993c-b331870f0417_zps00dcc8f9.jpg

I think that was part of my problem. It felt very insta love to me. Even though these two had history, I wanted more of a build up. There is absolutely no drama, no angst, nothing like that. It’s all sugary sweet and romantic. Which isn’t a bad thing, it’s just not always my thing.

What I did love from this book is Jax and Logan. They were great. And it was wonderful to catch up with the entire Montgomery/Williams gang! Oh when those drunk girls get together, they’re a riot! I loved the bathroom selfies with Jax! There also was a fair amount of steam. K Proby knows how to write sexy! Mark was awesome. He was that sweet, sexy and protective mix.

If you’re looking for a mix of lots of sweet, some sexy and funny- this might just be the book for you! It was a good read for me- just didn’t hit my love buttons. I can’t reiterate enough how much I love this series as a whole. Don’t let this 3.5 star rating deter you from reading. These are some seriously great books! I can’t wait for the 8th and final book (Dom’s). I have a feeling Ms. Proby is going to end this series with a bang!

**3.5 Breathe with me, baby stars**

I've noticed a trend with my reading lately...the last 3 out of 4 books I've read have been second chance romance stories. Out of the three book this one was by far the mushiest of them all.♥

The prologue starts in highschool with two lovesick teens who go their separate ways to follow their dreams. Chapter one starts a decade later when they reconnect at Meredith's mom funeral.

Throughout the book family members pointed out the mushiness between Mark & Meredith.
"You're all so freaking mushy. It's disgusting."
A cute story even with Mark worrying about losing his man card because he was fawning all over Meredith. "I think I just lost my man card."

"It's you and me, M and M, against the world."
description

Little angst, if at all, and some drama right at the very end of the book makes for a cute read.

FUTURE NEWS: At the end of the epilogue there is an announcement for a new series: A TASTE OF DELICIOUS (Fusion Series). I'm super excited because the book takes place in Oregon. It will be another book I can add to my Oregon shelf. This series is listed as coming out in 2015. Click here to find out when the release date is set for.

I blame myself,

This series is the reason I created my cheestastic shelf. I know the series is cheesy, but I've always enjoyed it anyway, which is why I fall for each new one that comes out. This is the third KP book in a row that I've rated with a three though, so I think it's time for me to realize I've become too jaded for this much corniness.

Overall, this book was actually really sweet and cute. Mark and Meredith were high school sweethearts who have re-connected after 10 years apart. I love second chance romances, so I thought they were a cute couple and their feelings for each other were believable. The other thing I loved about the book was Jax, Meredith's business partner and room mate. He was a very funny and entertaining character. Also, it's fun to find out what's going on with the rest of the family. Especially Nate, who will always be my personal favorite, closely followed by Caleb:)

Here is my main struggle with KP books in general. She writes a ton of sex scenes, which should be a positive, but for me it has become annoying. I just feel like it's too repetitive. There is too much cheesy dialogue, and it just doesn't hold my attention anymore. Specifically, I have developed a huge aversion to " You are so wet and tight." or any variation of that. Seriously, I would be happy if I never read that in a book again!!

If you love this series, don't let me stop you from reading the book, several of my friends really loved it. It's really me and not the book.

Mark Williams and Meredith Summers were high school sweethearts, spent a year together falling for each other the best way they knew how at the age they were, then Meredith broke Marks heart because they were starting new adventures. She was starting her career as a dancer and at the time that is all she knew, all she wanted, yes she loved him but she needed to do the right thing.

 photo 31DABC9E-2AAE-43F6-940A-43181936EFA8_zpsyvuqlx9v.jpg

10 years later they meet again for not the best reasons but yes they came face to face.

 photo 4DF8F241-410E-4FD7-A53B-94C948AE507C_zps8r8tlkjp.jpg

And it feels like no time has passed at all. And they go on to rekindle their love, their relationship. They were lovers previously so they pretty much pick themselves up and start where they left off.

"But I'll say this: you will never know how much I wished for you. Even though I knew it was selfish and wrong, I just wanted you.

What I found when reading this, was that this is a Williams story, whereas the Montgomery's have that edge, the Williams come with the mushy, sweet and lovey dovey and if you see it as how it is then you'll enjoy it, if not you won't.

"If She ever tries to leave me, I'm going with her. This life doesn't work without her- Luke Williams talking to Mark

They instantly move forward and go on to get to know each other day by day and move forward pretty quickly. There is nothing too risky or gripping it's what it is. There is plenty of sexy scenes to enjoy and lots of girly nights, rowdy fun with the Montgomery's, baby talk, house talk..... But I did enjoy it, for me I've read a lot of dark reads and this was a breath of fresh air and just gave me that easy 123 feel. I picked it up and enjoyed the love, the ease and the way Kristen grabbed me in straight away.

So was there any emotion? yes I had a few tears at the end, I think this is what gave me the four star mark for me as these two characters needed each other, Mer' is on her own, she has her best friend Jax her dance partner and she has Mark and eventually everyone else, but she doesn't have any parents anymore nor her sister, so ultimately I enjoyed the need.

I adore Kristen Proby's books for the ease, and the sweet delight and happy smile it gives me. I know what I'm getting so don't expect depth and anything different, if your like me and just needed an in between story then yes read away.

Mark loved only one girl in his life. And that girl choose dancing over him and left him heartbroken ten years ago.
He never loved another woman again and never got over that relationship. For ten years they were strangers… and now Meredith is back in town and in his life.
This time, he’s not willing to lose her again.

Ten years ago their paths were different and life led them in different ways.
Could life bring them back together for good? Or is just a huge joke on them and they are falling in love again, only to lose it all for good, all over again?

Rating: 4 Stars.
Storyline: Sweet and romantic like any Kristen Proby book. She always deliver a great romance but unfortunately, in this one there was something missing. It was a nice reading but tamer than the other books of her and scarily similar to the first book in the series: “Come Away With Me”.
And as always in her books (and I mean: ALWAYS!!) there was a drunk conversation about orgasms between the girls. THERE IS ONE IN ALL THE BOOKS. It’s like an awesome personal mark of Kristen. I love those scenes!
Writing Style: First person, dual POV. Good writing with heartwarming dialogues (close to cheesy). As always, engaging.
Character Development: Mark was pretty good. Sexy, sweet and hot. But well, I already liked him from the previous books. Meredith was a little harder to grow on me, she was too annoying and too insecure but she was sweet and honest and I eventually liked her as well. Jax was a great addiction to the cast and as the rest of the characters from the previous books, I love them all! (Especially Nate! Oh, Nate!!)
Steam: Hot.

Breathe With Me is book number seven in the With Me In Seattle series by Kristen Proby. I have been a fan of this series from the very beginning. I love the characters Kristen has created and with each new installment, I have enjoyed not only the story of a new romance for a member of the Williams / Montgomery clan, but I also love catching up on what’s happening in the lives of the others. In addition to the love (and lust) stories, I always get a real sense of family with this series; the author lovingly and humorously integrates a story within a story with each successive installment. Breathe With Me is no different. Mark Williams is Luke’s younger brother, and this is his and Meredith’s love story.

I always felt like Mark was the odd man out in the family. Luke, Mark’s older brother, is the mega movie star turned producer, and Samantha, his sister is the girl of the family, with all the rights, privileges and attentions that affords her. Mark, however, always seemed to be on the outside of every family gathering. He was aloof, if not perhaps even a bit detached, especially when it came to conversations about relationships and love. Well, we now know that’s because the only woman Mark has ever loved broke his heart, and Mark has struggled to move on. When Meredith walks back into Mark’s life ten years later, their respective worlds are turned upside down. It’s still there, and all the old feelings come rushing back, but can Mark trust Mer not to run and break him again? Can Mer overcome her fears and painful memories and allow herself the one thing she wants more than anything?

The Seattle series, generally, has always been predictable for me. Not plot predictable – that isn’t what I mean. Predictable in the sense of a trusted friend. I could trust where it would take me emotionally. I trusted there would be a little angst, because that’s just life, but I also trusted Kristen Proby to write mature characters who dealt with their issues in a caring and sensible way. When misunderstandings happened, they were handled, and within a chapter – no more than two – they lovingly resolved it and move on. I also could predict that there would be a few tears, but even then, just a few tender, touching ones, and whether they were sad or happy, they were easily brushed away. Breathe With Me broke – no, shattered – the mold on both counts. Mark and Meredith’s story delighted and gripped me in equal measure. The author dared to explore deep-seeded memories and pains, and although told from the character’s POV, Kristen skillfully and masterfully put the reader right in the middle of it. I felt the clenching in my heart and the painful inability to breathe right along with “M.” I am absolutely certain that more than once I could be heard sobbing, and there were several put down the reader, walk away and regroup moments for me.

I have loved and enjoyed all of the Seattle books. Like friends, each one touched me in a different way, and I could have never chosen a favorite. I dare to say I think that may have now changed. Mark and Meredith’s story took me somewhere different, and it elevated this series beyond just fun and sexy love stories – although, Breathe With Me is that too. Mark and Meredith are the kind of forever love that truly stand the test of time – and they’ve already proven it – now, they just have to believe it.

Five+ romantic, stand-the-test-of-time stars.

Breathe With Me is the seventh book in the series and I can't believe how much I have adored reading this series. Its simply delightful, I love the friendship and close-knit relationships we see in this series. This is Mark's story, who is the brother of Sam and Luke Williams (who both have stories in this series) so I was really excited to get to his book. This is a story that is full of emotion and redemption and sweet Mark deserved to get his happy ending too.

The story begins with Mark and the heroine, Meredith Summers. They have been in love for ages, both childhood sweethearts and each others firsts. They even have their own nickname--M&M. After graduation, they have plans to go to New York together so that Meredith can pursue a dancing career. But Meredith gets a wake-up call with her dancing teacher, and she realizes that she will need to let Mark go if she wants to be a serious dancer. She doesn't want to break things off with him, but she feels like she has no choice. Mark is shattered when Meredith leaves him for her career when he would have never held her back. Now its been ten years, and Meredith has dedicated ten years to dancing and is now starting a dancing studio in Seattle, her mother has just passed away and she is faced with seeing Mark again. Mark loves doing his work in construction.  He has never moved on from Meredith focusing on getting through his education. But Meredith has returned and is here to stay, and Mark will need to decide if he can open his heart again...
It’s you and me, M and M, against the world.

Breathe With Me is such a heart warming story and I really had a fun time with this one. I first wanted to mention the narration. I like these narrators, but the female narrator for the heroine POV was not my favorite, I don't care for how she does the men's dialogue. It just sounds weird. But the male narrator....he was delicious to listen to.
“There were days,” I begin softly and rub my nose against her soft hair, “that I would have exchanged a year of my life just to touch you one more time. You are my biggest what if, M.”

I will admit that in the beginning I really didn't like the heroine. She hurts Mark REALLY badly, and he is such a sweet guy and understood her reasons for doing what she does. I mean, her career is the most important thing to her but I didn't understand not talking things over with Mark first instead of just breaking it off two days before they both plan on leaving. She knew she was going to do it for a while, and I didn't like the way that she goes about it. And they could have made it work but I understand that conflict has to happen in a romance *sigh* You fall in love with Mark from the very beginning and I hate what she does to him. So I really didn't feel like she redeemed herself in this book. I think Mark was way too kind. We see how much both Mark and Meredith have changed over the years, but what they feel for each other hasn't ever changed. We see how the love they still have, has gotten them through some tough times in their lives. We are introduced to a new supporting character and boy I loved him...Meredith's dancing partner who is also gay...Jax who in this story finds his own love with Logan.

We have some fun times with the Montgomery clan, including a fun drunk scene in Vegas between the girls and Jax....and boy this scene was so HILARIOUS!!! Especially in their questionnaire of Jax about sex and it was so fascinating and lifts your spirits. You see M & M go through their ups and downs of relearning each other, and seeing that their chemistry is as hot as its ever been. Once they decide to get back together, their story is sweet and steady. But Mark and Meredith have some issues to work out. Mark's fear of Meredith choosing dance over him again. And Meredith having trust issues about whether Mark will be loyal to her. But they do work through their issues and seeing them learn the value of communication and honesty is much needed.
A love like yours doesn’t come along every day, you know. Love him. Let him love you. Make the most out of every single day, so at the end of it all, you can say you don’t have any regrets.

But what really worked me was the ending where Meredith has to really face up to her fears....fears she doesn't fully realize she has until something happens and she needs to face up to the past and the ghosts that have haunted her for many years and Mark will need to fight for Meredith and what they have together. Its a simply breathtaking and emotionally driven story that gives you the ups and downs of a true relationship. Overall I found Breathe With Me to be stunning, vital and endearing from beginning to end.
I’ll take you any way I can get you, Samantha, and that’s the fucking truth. I love you, every damn day, I love you. I’m never going anywhere. You’re it for me.

4 Hot Seattle Stars

Mark and Meredith were each others first everything, high school sweethearts separated by fear and ambition.

Fast forward eleven laters, both appear to have moved on, but have they really? When Mark and Meredith see each other again at her mother’s funeral it is like they were never a part.

This story is about two people who never quit loving each other, but must take time to find out who each of them have become now.

Mark and Meredith, M&M, were so sweet together. I loved their reactions to each other and them getting to know each other again. I loved Meredith’s over reactions and jealousy. Which typically I find annoying, but in this story it just worked and I loved Mark’s reactions to it.

Now lets talk about what’s really important…Mark and his sexy ways.

Yeah, this book was WAY hotter then the other books in the series. I was blown away with Mark’s dirty talk and actions. When he told her to take her panties off I had to stop and check what book I was reading. I have read every book in this series and none of them have been this HOT!

I think it goes without saying in this series that supporting characters were great. I loved catching up with the family and the introduction of Jax and Logan. Do I see an m/m in future??? Maybe...

This is a quick read with minimal drama and plenty of sexy time. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Jules is right, Williams men are really mushy and romantic.

Mark and Meredith are high school sweetheart. Life kind of got in the way, which resulted a 10 year rest for them.

Everything went pretty fast in this book. They got together really fast, and their whole relationship was just super fast.
They have really great chemistry together, and not to mention their like super horny all the time.

I enjoyed reading this book, but I felt that it was short. I feel that popular authors are really rushed to get their books out there, which I totally understand we are pretty demanding fans. But that sometimes results in short books. I was like 30-40 minutes into the book, and I was already 19% into the book. Well, I mean I guess it depends on how fast the reader is too.

I don't have much complaints about this book....well other than that little random snippet in 93%. It just kind of came out of nowhere.

I still continue to love the drunk girls, they are a hoot to read about. And now that there's Jax, their missing link, I can't wait to read more about them.

“There were days that I would have exchanged a year of my life just to touch you one more time.”

4.5 sweet, swoony and sexy stars

Another beautifully sexy and sweet read from Kristen Proby, and another reason why I love this series so much! This one is a second chance romance featuring Matt Williams, younger brother of Luke and Samantha.

Matt has been fairly quiet in the series so far. He’s a joker, and a massive flirt, with hints dropped about his manwhoring ways. But Matt is not as slutty as his siblings and friends think he is. Sure, he’s not a saint, but his aversion to relationships is all because he is still in love with his high school sweetheart, Meredith.

“Once upon a time, she was everything.”

Mark and Meredith had crazy love for each other, they were each other’s worlds, but it all fell apart when Meredith broke Mark’s heart and left town to pursue her dancing career without him. Ten years later and Meredith is back in town. They run into each other, and the spark between them is definitely still there!

I still think of her as mine. After all this time, when I think of Meredith, she’s my Meredith. Irrational? Yes.
Stupid? Most definitely.
But I don’t give a fuck.

And Mark, in all of his smoothness isn’t prepared to waste any time.

“We’re not friends, Mark,” I reply sadly. “We’re strangers with memories.”
He nods and looks down at my phone still in his grasp. He passes it back to me with a half-smile that makes my stomach and thighs clench. “Let’s see what we can do about that. My number is in there. The next step is up to you.”

The reconnection between Mark and Meredith (or M & M as they refer to themselves – bless) is beautiful. It’s fast but it’s realistic, and they’re both honest with each other about the impact that their years apart have had on them, and about how they’re feeling in the present.

“You will never know how much I wished for you.”

They tease, they laugh, they have fun, and their love for each other is still very evident. And then there’s this…

“Trust me, I’m going to fuck you. I’m going to fuck you blind, but I’m not going to fuck you right now, baby.” He strokes my hair and nudges my nose with his. “I’ve waited such a long time for this moment. I’m going to make long, slow love to you. I’m going to explore every inch of this amazing body. I have to relearn you.”

*faints*

I love Mark! He’s a great guy, not too intense or overbearing, just full of love for his girl and determined to have a life with her. Faithful, supportive, and understanding of what Meredith has gone through, and her occasional freak out moments, he is pretty much perfect man. And with their romance full tender moments, lots of feels and some smokin’ sexy time, you can tell that these two are absolutely meant to be.

As always, the characters from previous books all play a huge part in the story, and the scenes where they are all together are definitely a highlight – particularly the now-regular drunken girls night out. Always a feature of each of these books, this one had me laughing out loud at the antics of this crazy bunch.

“Jesus, my woman is doing body shots with your wife,” Leo says to Caleb, his voice low and reverent.
Caleb simply nods silently.

There are some beautiful moments for Sam and Leo, and the introduction of a new member to the gang – Meredith’s BFF, Jax, who is also intensely protective of his girl, and has some stellar moments.

“Is it the sex you’re worried about?” he asks with a smart-assy frown. “Here, I’ll help. Sex 101.”
“Stop it.” I giggle and kick out at him, missing him by a good eight feet.
“How to give a hand job.”
“Stop talking!” I am laughing hard now...
“Step one: use your mouth.”

I loved this book! It is a great, easy read (I read it in one sitting), following Kristen Proby’s proven formula of sweet, sexy and lots of fun. There is a little moment of stupid, but I didn’t take it too seriously, and it was enough to provide a bit of a dramatic finish. Mark and Meredith are functional, in love and absolutely beautiful together, and I loved their story.

4.5 stars.

If you are a fan of Kristen Proby's With Me Series then you will def want to snatch this one up! You won't find any angst or drama, no hard to get game playing, or any character damage. Instead you find a love story...a first time love...then a second chance love tale that is genuinely sweet and sexy!

Mark Williams fell in love with his "one" in high school! Meredith was his everything and together they shared all of their firsts! Their young love was overwhelming and a bit scary. When Meredith's dreams of being a professional dancer are in question due to her lack of concentration she lets go of Mark to pursue life long dream. Harsh?...maybe, but I never blame anyone for knowing what they want and then going for it!

So years apart for M&M have been pretty blasé...both have carried the torch for their first love that has never gone out.

When Mer comes back to town and comes face to face with Mark....GAME ON! Some say insta-love, but for me, it was never really gone. So Mark and Mer begin again...talking, dating, and lots of sexual chemistry! Before long they are full throttle bed jumping!

Other than the minor drama of jealousy and insecurity with a new relationship, this moves pretty quick and all is happy with Mark and Meredith, as it always should have been!

I will say that this wasn't a page turner, keep me up all night kinda read, but it was nonetheless entertaining. I love that Proby keeps the Montgomery and Williams clan's together...the Las Vegas bathroom scene was enough for me to say YES to liking this!!! Sometimes it is ok to read a book where boy meets girl, they fall in love, and they live happily ever after! True Romance!!!

03/22/14: Based on Sam's opinion of Meredith... this will be, interesting. I love how Kristen's character snippets leave you on the edge of your seat.

06/25/14: When a friend introduced me to Kristen last year, I enjoyed Come Away with Me. The series continued and when I read Play with Me my like for Kristen turned into LOVE. I love this series, and the books that incorporate this series just get better and better. Breathe With Me is no exception.

Throughout the series, Mark has been the character who's appeared and disappeared. He's on a boat hiding. No one can figure him out. All we know is that he's a William, he's sexy, and funny. Then Kristen brought him to life. The mysterious brother has been recovering from a heart break that his high school sweetheart left behind.

Now, this is a story about Mark and Meredith and their second chance at love that was too premature when initiated. They're older now, more experienced, and more decided on what paths their lives need to take. However, this book has two love stories unfolding under one title. When you meet the supporting character, Jax, it will make sense.

I most certainly love that time has passed in this series now. All the characters are in a new place in their relationships. There is humor, there is a whole lot of sexiness, and there is tears. This is the second to last book in this series and I am already beginning to mourn the fact that I will be saying goodbye to fictional characters that have become my friends.

This is a must read. With tissues.

Breathe with Me (With Me in Seattle #7)

3 stars!

Umm i don't know. I'm not exactly disappointed by this one but i'm not also very happy about it. Don't get me wrong i love Kristen Proby, she is one of those authors that you want to hate but you can't because she's very sweet. I read all of her books and i liked them. not LOVED but like.
I like the With me in Seattle series it is fun, sexy as hell, easy to read and sweet. But it is not very original but yet again i can't help but read it again and again and again. Really guys i have lost count of how many times i read this series, there is something that makes me always go back to it, maybe the fact that it teaches me how i'm suppose to be treated and not to settle for less?

yep i'm still single.

I LOVE Mark, he's super sexy, and funny! but in this book we see a total different side to him and i like it :D but i didn't feel this book. I was happy to read more about Will and Meg << my fav couple and to see what is Nate and Jules are up to. I liked to read about Luck And Nat's growing family and really catch up with all of them. But this book was lacking.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILERS

There is too much action in this one.
Death.
Bachelor party.
Vegas weekend.
a SURPRISE wedding.
A proposal.
Car accident.
Another wedding. O.o

I really i'm looking forward to read Dom's story SUPER EXCITED
After that i'm ready to say goodbye to those people that i grew to think of them as real people.

I truly want to live in Kristen's world - where all these super hot, gorgeous, amazingly loving men live! And not only that - but girls who I would love to be my BFFs. Thankfully she takes us a long for the wild ride with the Montgomery/Williams/McKenna Clan!

Mark's story is different from the rest, but it doesn't disappoint! Full review to come!

I have been a huge fan of this series since the first book. I've loved this whole family of the Williams's and the Montgomery's from the first book.. The family dynamic is absolutely awesome! I had been hit hard by the book boyfriend bug with Will... It's not a lie... But Mark... He changed it all!

From the beginning I was skeptical. Mark was the one character in this series that always seemed to be hiding somewhere in the background showing up here and there, but nothing really that told us anything about him. He did always seem a bit sad and completely embarrassed by the girls conversations. I seriously thought he was hiding something.. Boy I couldn't have been more wrong about what that was... LOL

Mark's heart was broken by his high school sweetheart, he's been sort of just going through motions not really letting himself get attached to anyone since. He's got a fantastic job working with Isaac's construction company and he's literally a genius... No really he is... When the love of his life walks returns to Seattle, it changes EVERYTHING for him... Mark is convinced that his feelings have never changed for the one woman that could light up his world and make it colorful again...

This story will melt your heart... It's been several days since I finished it and I'm still thinking about M&M... I absolutely adored these two characters. Meredith was such a strong willed female character. Even when she had her moment of crazy, I never found her to be weak. She was simply afraid. Meredith has given up a lot of her lifetime all for the stage, but she's lonely and alone. I felt really bad for her, sometimes what we want in life it's always what's best for our hearts. I think that Meredith is a testament to that statement, even though she loved her job, she had many regrets and mostly they pertain to Mark. He truly was the one that got away...

Kristen always writes such heart wrenching stories. I was crying through the first 4-5 chapters! Once again the family comes together to rally around their loved ones and invite Meredith back into the fold with open arms. Well except Sam, but she's literally playing the protective sisterly role, and I felt a new respect for her in this book. Kristen also introduces a new character in Meredith's best friend and business partner and I absolutely fell in love with him! You'll get to spend time with all your favorite Williams and Montgomery couples as they are together a lot throughout this book. And as always there are some LOL funny moments in this book... The text messages and the scene that the men walk in to find is some of the best moments of the series... I can't say enough wonderful things about this story or this series. Of all the family's I've read about through numerous books, this is one I will come back to over and over again. I'm sad that it's almost over but I can't wait for the last book, it might be just the most explosive yet!

3 - "M and M against the world." Stars.

Probably my least favorite book of the whole With Me in Seattle Series. It felt like a filler to me, too many little things going on and Mark and Meredith's 'second chance love story' felt very 'secondary' to a lot of the recaps that you get from the rest of the gang, as the book progressed. I struggled to warm to Meredith as well if I am honest (another first for this series, as the h are usually as likable as the H normally).

"There's no recovering from this."

I doubt that too be true, Kristen Proby is one of my 'go-to' authors when I need my romantic pick-me-up, and that's why I love this series. I do hope however that Kristen keeps Forever With Me Dominic and Alecia's story as the final book, and gives everyone the 'happily ever afters' that they all deserve.

So here we are, Book 7 of the With Me in Seattle series. And what a series so far! We have met so many characters, watched them grow in their relationships, have babies, go to BBQ's, enjoy good times. And Breathe With Me is no different. This book we follow Mark Williams and Meredith Summers. Mark is Luke's brother. We didn't get much of Mark in the other books, just that he was always single and a flirt. Which is fine by me, but he's a Williams, which means he's drop dead gorgeous. Yep! He might even top Luke! And then we have Meredith, Mark's high school sweetheart.

The book starts off with a bangin' prologue; we learn that Mark and Meredith are just the fucking cutiest couple ever. Kristen does a great job of really showing the readers the connection between them just in the prologue alone.

"It's you and me. M and M, against the world."

They are adorable and they nicknamed eachother M and M. Both have so much love and respect for one another and they are only in high school. Truthfully, I was a blubbering mess reading it. Yep!! That's pretty much how it started off for me. But I immediately fell in love with Mark and Meredith. Especially Mark. Certain circumstances tear them apart though, which was the need for the tears.

mark bwm

Chapter 1 fast forwards 10 years later, WOW!! Mark is all man; working for a construction company, bangin' body, blonde hair, light eyes. Just Unreal. Always the gentleman. Meredith, who is a dancer from when she was kid, is still dancing. Just not like she was when she was in HS or college; completely dedicated to her dance career. She used to tour with the big names, and now she's home in Seattle, living with her best friend Jax, who happens to be gay, and they co-own a dancing school for little girls. CUTE!! Love this chick.

Mark and Meredith wind up reconnecting under different circumstance this time. And the chemistry is there; everything is there. Kristen Proby does such an amazing job of making you feel that connection so early on in the story. I was instantly in love with these two. More so for me, it was Mark. I honestly had no idea what this man was going to be about. HOLY SHIT!! I have always been firm on my Will Montgomery obsession. BUT I am going to say now, Mark has moved into 1st place in the Book Boyfriend department. And let me tell you, its not the HOT dirty talk that gives him the appeal. Not even close. It's in the way he romances Mer. Even all those years apart, and he still wants her. Bad!! His heart aches for her.

"There were days, " I begin softly and rub my nose against her soft hair, "that I would have exchanged a year of my life just to touch you one more time. You are my biggest what if, M."

And it starts with the first date he takes Mer on. The whole damn night, I was like putty in his hands. Or she was like putty in his hands. Yes the book is about Meredith not me! DURR!!

They fall into a wonderfully easy pattern, which I adored. This Proby story made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. As I sit here writing this review, and re reading some of the million quotes I highlighted in my kindle, I am actually getting all teared up. Some of the things that Mark says to Mer, are just amazing. But now, Mark knows those feelings are reciprocated by her, and that just sealed the deal for me.

"Do you know, whenever I got nervous, whether it was in an audition, or right before a show...whatever, it was your voice I heard. Breathe with me, M. I clung to that more times than I can tell you. You were with me, every day. Even when I tried to forget you."

meredith bwm

Just breathtaking. The whole book, every line that was written, every feeling that I felt, every moment...breathtaking. I felt my heart melting, actually melting. This is by far one of the most heartfelt books I've read. Meredith is such a strong, welcoming, captivating, smart, talented and beautiful person. She is such an amazing dancer and teacher; such a talent. And she has this best friend Jax that I adore more than you know. Jax played such a important part in this story. And to me, he wasn't just a secondary character that just pops in here and there for an opinion or some advice. He really plays a roll in Mer's life. He has been her best friend, dancing partner, business partner; her everything for 10 years since Mark wasn't in her life. She needs him, and he needs her. And the way in which Jax is protective over her with Mark....turns me the fuck on...don't care if he's gay! He's a strong character and I love him to death! Good character development there Ms. Proby!!

"I'm fucking jealous, yeah," he says and wipes the towel over his hair. "Not because I want her the way you do, but because for a long time, it was just her and me, dealing with life and we were doing just fine. You need to know, man, I'm here for the long haul. Meredith is my only family, and I'm hers."

Okay let me stop a second and talk about everybody else! YES...Everybody Else!! I think the best way to describe my feelings on the rest of the gang would be to say that this book has the BEST DIALOG EVA!!!!! I laughed my ASS OFF!! YES!! VEGAS!! That's all I will say!! One whole chapter of dialog...No monologue! Just mother freakin funny ass dialog!! Not sure who I loved more!! I mean Jules always kills me, NAT I just wanna eat her up! Meg, Brynna, Stacey....SAM might take the cake!! So many good things happen in Vegas!! And the guys, they kill me!! Fuck as shit!! Luke and Nat play a much bigger role in this book, and that makes me happy in pants. Luke is such a great, supportive brother and friend. Again, the Montgomery BBQs...still waiting for my invite!! It's not even normal how much this cast has grown since Come Away with Me! If I could be anybody in this world, it would the wife of a Montgomery or a Williams! Hands down.

Kristen doesn't realize it yet, but she coined a new phrase....TLT...Turkey, Lettuce and Tomato! My new favorite sandwich! YEP!! Just had to put that in there...

Okay getting back to M and M. They move sooo fast. Which scares me, because they lost 10 years. SLOW DOWN?!! What's the rush! But they don't....they push on! They can't keep their hands off each other and I love it...Mark is an animal...But he also makes such sweet love to her, it makes my legs shake...

"Trust me, I'm going to fuck you. I'm going to fuck you blind, but I'm not going to fuck you right now, baby." He strokes my hair and nudges my nose with his.

"I've waited such a long time for this moment. I'm going to make long, slow love to you. I'm going to explore every inch of this amazing body. I have to re learn you, M."

Really M?? My God he's killing me.

But of course there always comes a time when Proby throws it the angst and fucks me all up. And cue the water works Trish!! Yep! I did my ugly cry! And trust me it was ugly. It was a very sensitive chapter that Proby wrote so well. And handled with care. But I still cried, a lot. Then moved on to the next chapter and cried some more!

"But I can't help the way my heart feels."

"How does it feel?"

"Panicked. Terrified. God, I'm so scared. "

M and M have some serious issues to iron our. Mostly Mer's issues, but this causes a serious problem for them. How will Mer overcome her fears? It is too much too soon...? Too much love too fast? It's such a great story.

I will go as far as saying that Breathe With Me is "THE BEST" of all the With Me in Seattle series. Hands down. This is a 6 star book in my eyes. Every single character is well thought out. The new characters blew my mind. Reading it is like a movie. As you read you move through it with ease, and you feel like your watching a freaking movie! How cool is that!! If you all know me, you know I am re read whore! This series has been read numerous times. BUT this book here, Breathe, this is the book I will be re reading again and again. It touches me in ways a book hasn't done in a long time. It DEF gets my 5 HOLLAS!!! It's MINT times ten!!

And the best part...wait for it...we get ONE more in the series!! The HOT Italian brother Dominic! Can't leave him out!!! NOPE!! He needs his story and we need to know more about him! He intrigues me!! And here he is below.....enjoy ladies...nothing like a HOT Italian....straight from the boot!! HOLLA!!!!

A first love that took a detour for ten years before the second chance came around written in an irresistible combination of sass and sexy. Incredibly well written with plenty of witty humor and scorching sex scenes. A fantastically entertaining group of characters, both lead and secondary, shoved it all into overdrive. I adored the full package.

Kristen Proby once again delivered the goods in a class act. Not to be missed – add it to your TBR list now!

it was a complete ESR book. (easy, sexy, romantic).
I love this series. Love the author.
The book could've brought a bit more tummy tickles ... but needless to say I practically read it from cover to cover.

Breathe With Me by Kristen Proby

4.5 stars
Recently when people speak of the With Me in Seattle series, they comment about the Montgomery family; and don’t get me wrong I adore the Montgomery family but Breathe With Me takes the reader back to were this series began with the Williams family.

Breathe With Me tells the story of Mark Williams, Luke's (from book 1 Come Away With Me) younger brother.

I loved this book; it provides the reader with such a wide range of emotions, you will laugh, swoon, you may even cry and in the end you will close your kindle with a smile on your face and a happy heart.

It makes sense that this book contains a lot of Luke and Samantha Williams (their sister) from book 3 Rock with Me.

I loved the sibling interactions this book provided; you truly see the bond these three share; and when Mrs. Williams, the matriarch, at one point asks Sam if she is tattling on Mark, I was laughing out loud!

The banter between Luke and Mark is so enjoyable, brotherly love at its finest - supporting, teasing, and genuine compassion.

The use of Luke and Natalie and their little ones added to my love of this story, it was like checking in with old friends!

It is no secret that I love dialogue rich books, this one delivers that in spades doing it with such a range of emotions and character interactions that truly build the story, creating a world that pulls the reader in.

Breathe with Me also brought me new characters to fall madly in love with… and yes I am in love with a new Proby man, JAX!!!!

Ms. Proby expanded her character arsenal and her voice with the creation of Jax, Meredith's best friend. This gay man touched my soul on so many levels and may be one of the best characters Ms. Proby has even written.

Although you get a nice amount of Jax and his happy, I need more of him…. I truly hope the author writes Jax’s happy even if it is just a novella.

Ok back to Mark and Meredith; Breathe with Me is a second chance romance. One that manages to grab the readers heart to somehow break it for both characters at times throughout the book. Ms. Proby delivers deep emotions along with steaming hot scenes.

Meredith commented that “We’re strangers with memories” - this is a great line for a second chance romance story and another one from Mark “There were days that I would have exchanged a year of my life to just touch you one more time.”

In typical Kristen Proby fashion, this book has many wonderful group interactions; some that pulled at my heart and some that made me laugh out loud. This gang in Vegas certainly is one the epic moments.

As Mark and Meredith re-connect, it was easy for the reader to understand why these two belong together and although they spend a decade apart somehow it seems they fall right into step with each other.

Breathe With Me delivers a wedding that is perfect for the couple involved; no I will not tell you who gets hitched but I will say I loved every minute of it!

For me personally, I think the best way to enjoy this book is for the reader to try book 1 Come Away with Me which is currently free; then continue the journey with this wonderful cast of characters that have taken up residence in my heart.

And as I mentioned above, I loved the use of Luke and Natalie in this story; as Mark’s brother and sister-in-law, they fit perfectly into the story and reminded my why I fell in love with this series from the beginning.

Luke’s line, “if she leaves me I am going with her… my life does not work without her" truly had me loving him all over again and it was used to help Mark understand and embrace his love with Meredith.

There are so many wonderful scenes in this book but toward the end I must mention that, I loved the scene with Meredith and Logan; I know the book is Mark and Mer but trust me it works!!

Just as Mark and Meredith seem to be on the right track the question becomes what happens when for Meredith the present collides with the past?

Is Mark and Meredith’s new and deeper connection strong enough to overcome the hurt of the past?

Well, I will not tell you what that past is; it is not what most would think, it is NOT their prior breakup, I will warn you to have a box of tissues.

The end of this book has an epilogue that made me smile; it made me love Mark even more and added a family scene so clear, the reader can deefinitely picture it in their mind!

Hats Off Ms. Proby for an epic final scene!

There was one thing about this book it did make me a bit sad; the end says stay tuned Fall 2014 for the last book in the With Me in Seattle series; Forever With Me. That makes me a bit melancholy as this series has been so enjoyable to read and it has been wonderful to witness Ms. Proby mature as a writer!

But truly I am truly looking forward to Dominick’s story Forever With Me and for my final visit with this memorable cast!

The seventh installment of the With Me in Seattle saga we get Mark Williams story. A sweet second chance romance that spans a little over a decade of time. Meredith and Mark's story begins with a prologue that gives you a glimpse of the boy Mark was before his heart was broken by his first love. Meredith had a dream that she wanted to follow and that dream was something she didn't want to let anyone to stop her from achieving. So she breaks her heart by breaking his.

Now, eleven years later Mark is going to see her again when her mother passes and he and Luke go to pay their respects. But one look, one hug... and these two start to remember how much they used to love each other. And like the other men in this series, Mark is not about to let her walk out of his life for a second time.

Screenshot_11

M & M's story was a bit more on the sweet side than I expected, however I still thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Mark a little bit better. He was a bit of a mystery for me since he was more of a background character for such a long time in this series. But one thing that I absolutely love about this series is that as much as the focus is on the stars of the particular book - we get so much of everyone else laced into the story. And yes, we get a drunken night in Vegas of all places. I think after the first night these girls went out and got crazy it just became a requirement for each book to have that scene in it.

Kristen Proby as always gives you likable characters and although this story had very little angst, it was a feel good romance read that just makes you want to melt. There are other Montgomery and Williams' boys that I've loved a bit more, stories that I felt more connected with - but in the end I still enjoyed this read and their story.

Screenshot_12

Dom's story is up next and although he is also a newer addition to this series and we don't have much in the way of built anticipation to his book - he has that bit of mysteriousness to him that has this girl a little more than excited to get my hands on it. Just one final book left in this series, before we have to say goodbye to this crazy family and I know that I will miss them as it was one of my early romance reads nearly two years ago when I started on this crazy journey of falling back into love with books.

Before I even started this book I wasn't super excited to read it. I'm not a huge fan of lovers reunited stories but I will read them. I was afraid I wouldn't like Meredith because she left Mark for her dance career. However, after reading more into the book it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. This book turned out to actually be one of my favorites in the series.

I loved how Mark and Meredith were in love throughout the book. Proby does such a great job of keeping the reader interested even if the love is between the H and h from the beginning. It was very mushy in parts but overall I really liked this book. The time in Vegas was absolutely hilarious! I found myself LOLing quite often during those scenes.

Near the end when Meredith had her freak out I was getting a little upset with her but then quickly changed my tone. The scenes were written so well near the end. The scene where she was recalling the death of her sister and dad brought tears to my eyes. How sad.

The proposal scene was quite romantic if a little OTT but it worked for me. Overall, a great addition to this series. I'm sad that it is soon drawing to a close. I love the Williams and Montgomery families. I just have Dom's book to read and hope it is a nice little ending to this rather enjoyable series.

After reading WIng Woman on June 19, the novels or novella's that I've read after that sucked or almost sucked. I've read 15 books since Wingman, then Kelly Elliott's Unconditional Love saved me from insanity, after U.L, I've read Cover Me, which I didn't finish. I've started a couple of novels but I just didn't feel like reading them (Rusty Nailed, Twisted Together, Fade In), so I chose this! And thank god I did.

Now on the novel, I love how it started, 2 young couples who were deeply in love, had to go their separate ways, met again... after 10 years.

On Chapter 3, They were together again, so I was like, WTF is gonna happen now that they're already together? It's only 18% of the story!

I didn't like that the focus kind of shifted to Sam & Leo on their wedding day, and I skipped here and there. around 90% of the story, it peaked up...
