I have a paperback copy of Kansas, which I plan to discard in favor of reading the eBooks galleys The House on Windridge and Threads of Love / Woven Threads. These include Beyond Today (pen name) and The House On Windridge, as well as, Threads Of Love and Woven Threads respectively.

After her mothers death, a young women is forced/dumped/sold as a caregiver/ babysitter/cook, etc. by her selfish father so he can go to the gold fields to get rich. In the end it worked out.
