In high school, they gave me a spiral notebook and told me to write down everything I was thinking. Two weeks later, I had to go to a very serious conference with my teacher and my parents. I sort of figure they were asking for it.
I like to write about very terrible fellas and the women who can't resist them. I hope you enjoyed what you read! Please sign up for information about new releases: http://eepurl.com/7d3pv
4 PROTECTIVE ALPHA STARS. “This whole situation was something I planned, Savannah. All of it. More than you know and I take responsibility for all of it. You had no choice. If you’d said no, I would have tossed you over my shoulder and carried you off somewhere and found ways to make you say yes.”
If you don't like this statement, please stay away from this book, because even though this Hero had the best of intentions and the heroine's best interest at heart, he is forceful and protective. He wanted her to have her own life and to be free to make her own decisions but he also just wanted her.
And he was going to do whatever it takes to get her safely away from her controlling father who had his own agenda. Her father had cut her off completely when she decided she didn't want to become a lawyer. She wanted to become a teacher. And he defends her choices here! He said to them "....She was scared and alone. Not one person in her family was answering her calls because why? Because she was an addict? A felon? No. Because she wasn’t following daddy’s orders.”
I found that seriously awesome and so commendable. BRAVO ALPHA WITHOUT AS$HOLE!
And the great thing is she wasn't a doormat!!! Yes she goes along with The hero but it's what she wants as well. Also, when she found out that the hero went behind her back to speak to her father, she is mad but she doesn't forgive it right away. She made him sweat it out for a week! LOVED THAT TOO!
These two just clicked for me and they had a great relationship and if the epilogue had been a little longer I would have given it 5 full stars. Because this book had it all for me but that. It had: -a protective alpha -a strong heroine -an equal relationship where both make decisions together -a great and fair conflict resolution -a sweet ending.
Who could ask for more?
Oh, and the best part was that is was completely safe without cheating, ex's, OW/OM drama, or condoms but they were discussed.
I would recommend this one and I have now reread it 3 times. It's a keeper and I hope to read it again soon.
I just want to say I loved Jack! He's the kind of hero I like. A man who will do everything to have his woman and will also do everything to protect her, keep her and make her happy.
The story was about Jack, 30 and Savannah, 21.
Jack's mother and Savannah's father had been married for almost two years.
Jack's a wealthy man. He owned Mountain Resort Airlines where Savannah works as a flight attendant for a few months. He also loved being a pilot and he had other investments/ businesses too.
Savannah was working with him because her father had cut her off without a penny and Jack offered her a job and a place to live in.
He talked to her about marriage. He wanted them to get married right away, to help each other. Her, finishing college and him, being a family man for business. They wanted each other too.
Her father was manipulative. He wanted to take Savannah away from Jack but after what happened near the end, he realized what he took for granted and I'm glad it's not yet late for him to change.
What I loved most in this book was Jack. He's a very good man and I felt how important Savannah is to him. There's an epilogue too.
My first read by this author and really enjoyed this little romance.I loved everything about Jack,he was sexy, sweet, protective,a little devious ,and he was a goner for his heroine. 4.5***
I don't know why this didn't work for me.. It just didn't. Too much happening randomly- why did he do what he did when he did it.. Who knows And the dad was just weird.. This could have been much better safe read 2.5 stars
Jack Marshall knew long ago that he wanted Savannah. He plotted and finally has Savannah where he wants her and he plans to make her his wife. Savannah though has always thought that Jack despised her but when her father kicked her out of his home, Jack was there helping her pick up the pieces. She never thought he would want to marry her will she accept him as her husband?
This was fun, I liked Jack and Savannah together. Savannah's father is horrid and Jack sees through what he is trying to do. Great read checking out more from this author.
Great little forbidden romance with the type of alpha hero I adore. He was possessive and protective, bordering on the edge of too over the top for me but landing just shy of it which made it enjoyable. This has a bit of drama due to family and a touch caused by an action done by the hero. Overall, this was a very nice step brother novella (it avoided all the iffy situations) and had me immediately downloading the next book.
I have to say, I love when Maggie Sweet and Sasha Gold write stories together. They are HOT and the H is to die for possessive. I love that the H sort of kidnaps the h and doesn't want to let her go. They want marriage and kids. I will definitely be reading more of this great duo in the future.
I like the possessive and protective male going after the woman he loves...except I wasn't sure that he did at first. Love her, that is. Everything was worded so weirdly and the character's actions were a bit out of sync with what they were saying. Jack told Savannah they were marrying, but he agreed with her when she asked if it would only be for a short time. Then they made love that night without protection hoping for a baby. I was like, "wait. What?" Savannah had zero backbone, which can be kinda hot when Jack wanted to be all dominant over her, but was disturbing when I realized she was always like that, with everyone. This book was just ok for me.
DNF @ 25% It was just so weird. The first chapter (h’s POV) we are informed they avoided each other since they met. So ok, she lusts after him but there’s this hole off limits thought because he’s her step-brother. Second chapter (H’s POV) we get to know he’s plotting on getting married with her because he’s madly in love with the h. He pretends this is a marriage of convenience to her and she just accepts it (not even thinking twice before saying yes to it). Soon after, they are already all over each other and by this point I’m confused: the h theoretically is not aware he’s in love and thinks this is a fake marriage but is talking to him as if she can read his thoughts and knows he actually is in love with her. Wait, what? This book was just so disconnected I was unable to follow their thought process and understand how they went from 0 to 60 in a couple of pages. Look, I’m used to this love at first sight novellas, I’m used to the marriage of convenience trope and I’m used to forbidden family relationship stories, but they all make sense while reading and they follow a logical plot, which is definitely not happening in this book. Decided to not continue reading it, so maybe it gets better after.
Alpha, OTT hero who does whatever is necessary to get his woman, even if it’s a little underhanded? YASSSS, please!!!!
I loved every bit of this book from start to finish, from the dominant hero and the sweet, shy heroine whose strength was her feminine innocence. I also loved that there was no nasty condom use to destroy the connection and intimacy of the SUPER STEAMY love scenes.
Whenever I read a book that leaves a sour taste in my mouth or has my skin crawling in revulsion, I can depend on this author to be a “palate cleanser,” to wipe away the yuck of whatever I’ve read with a wonderful, exhilarating romance
Hero’s past is briefly mentioned but he’s been celibate since meeting the heroine. Heroine is a virgin. No cheating or abuse of any kind. HEA with epilogue.
Only just managed to finish this book. The H is h's step brother, he sort of kidnaps her, and they immediately marry. Nothing romantic about their relationship at all. She's very immature, dependent on others, and while she is working as a stewardess - he's a pilot, she's not good at anything and customers complain about her. The H dominates her, but it wasn't sexy, he was bossy and he never did tell her that he loved her. Her father fakes an illness, then his mother actually does have a real illness, and if felt as if the author forgot to put in a plot.
This sweet little story is so good. Savannah has been disowned by her father, who married her stepmother two years ago. Her stepbrother saves her from homelessness. She wants to be a teacher, her father wants her to be a lawyer and Jack just wants her to be happy. He's going to try his best to make that happen.
This was very sweet! I kept waiting for the big Jack vs Weston fight and i felt that the author kept building up to it and then...everything ends up okay. I enjoyed the book but i felt that something was missing, i found it a little difficult to believe that after years and years of Weston being quite the horrible dad he suddenly does a 180 and starts supporting his daughters' choices.
Okay so after re-reading again....Her father still pisses me off...but it's easy to see that Jack did the things he did (in an underhanded way) because of his feelings for Savannah. Thank god we get Jack's point of view or we would be left thinking he was a true douche canoe. I still think my absolute fav part of this book is when he gets Theo to hack into the hospital feed and Theo spies on 'his little nurse'! LOL ***************************************************************************** original post:
mehhhh....this was just okay
h was way too much of a doormat especially with her manipulative jackass of a father!
Jack was just YUM. That's the perfect word for him. This author is simply checking every single box I have for romance that keeps me happy. Sasha keep writing these loyal one women men. I love the sassy dialogue end the humor hidden in between the Sizzling sweetness. Every page had me signing or laughing. I simply will be devouring everything she writes.
*adding old reviews that someone I missed but had stored in Keep*
I loved Jack and Savannah's story! The chemistry between them and how neither of them knew that the other had feelings for one another. Plus, the plot and the secondary characters were strong too.
Sasha Gold is always a one click buy for me. Her stories are the perfect mix of love, tenderness and a little dirty mixed in. This book had the trifecta and I would recommend all day long.
Good short, sexy story. Alpha hero, sweet virgin heroine. Great read for cleansing the palette in between the heavier reads. I read Wrecker first and thought it was a little better.
