House sitting my mother and stepdad's Victorian mansion... sounds pretty great to me. This gorgeous house has a staff! I can’t believe my good luck. Good luck that runs out when I discover the house also comes with my brand-new stepbrother. Luke “Thor” Thornton, just out of the Marines. He’s six foot four of bad attitude and he’s already taken a dislike to me. Even worse, he’s under the impression he needs to keep an eye on me. If I wanted a bodyguard, I’d pick someone other than this growly beast.
Luke
Olivia doesn’t remember me. I met her one night at the “gentleman’s club” she owns. Ever since then I can’t get her out of my head. But Olivia’s nothing like what I imagined. She’s sweet. She’s innocent. All I wanted is one night with her but I’m almost certain one night won’t be enough.
Someone’s threatening Olivia and after I see one of the texts on her phone, the whole game gets very real, very fast.
***** Standalone Novel, No Cliffhanger, Happily Ever After ***** ***** Safe Read, No Cheating, Strong Language *****
Almost did not read this one because of a misunderstanding and now I am really glad that I decided to read it. The story is not typical but it is unfortunately mostly predictable. There was one aspect that took me by surprise but the whole stalker was very obvious. I enjoyed their banter and even their insults. It was awesome how she could just give as good as she got. I really loved " Thor" the hero (so not his name). And "tart" (also not her name) was awesome. They had to some soul searching and trusting before they could be together. There is no cheating. Happy reading.
This was just OK. The hero was kind of an ass and thought the heroine was a slut through 3/4 th of the book. Both characters were pretty one dimensional, plus I didn't feel an ounce of passion between them, and the whole "stalker" issue was pretty lame and simplistic.
This was just ok for me. nothing really bad about but nothing too great either:) I did like hero though even though he thought she wasn't as innocent for while:) I loved the epilogue!
safety gang safe hero didn't seem like he was a manwhore. heroine was a virgin but didn't know at first. haha .
A wonderful, fun, sexy read by Sasha Gold. It's not a Harliquin Romance - nope, it's real life problems with a rough and boss stepbrother thrown in for fun! A yummy, stepbrother, I might add. I enjoyed this one as much as the first two other books in the series and I'm looking forward to the next installment.
Another winner from Sasha. I loved how these two battered. Nothing like sexual tension and awesome dialogue. Sexy, funny, sweet and safe. Just what I like.
This was good. Glad I stuck with it, I was about to dnf. But it was a misunderstanding and I loved the rest of the book.
The one thing I could’ve done without was the details on the hero’s past, although it sounded as if he had been celibate for a bit. There was a mention of him having ONS, which was gross.
Heroine was innocent but due to a misunderstanding, having gotten drunk, she thought she wasn’t.
No others, no cheating or abuse. HEA with epilogue years out

This was good. I wish it had been longer. This was a safe read. I would've liked there to be more story after they got together but I do like this authors books.

My Thoughts Pleasantly surprised. I liked how the store moved and Luke wasn't as annoying as some of the hero's I've read about lately(Fiona Davenport)
No cheating or ow/om drama. The H was sometimes a bonehead and the h needed to put him in his place a couple of times but they did have good banter and I felt their connection.
This author really likes to drag out the sexual tension, too much if you ask me. Ends just past 70%.
This story was slow and boring. I kept waiting for something to happen. Plus, the h worked at a gentlemen's club and then later purchased it. Wasn't a fan of that.
Great romance with twists! I enjoyed this book a lot. Luke and Olivia are great characters. They meet as adults after their parents get married. Luke is a bit of a pessimist I think, as he thinks the worst before figuring out that he is wrong. I got a kick out of Luke being nicknamed Thor, it just cracked me up. Luke and Olivia are wonderful together, once they get over the angst. Definitely recommend. Must read!
I remember something about this one, Tamika. The heroine, Olivia, is a former stripper who was a roommate to [heroine] Sage in Wrecker (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...).
But this one was annoying because the hero kept thinking the heroine was a lying slut. *not fun*
And then the bad guy in this one makes NO sense! At all. O_O
Olivia is selling her business and getting threats. Her step father asks his son to keep an eye on her. They don't think much of each other. Luke has the wrong idea about her.
Thor is the third book in Sasha Gold's step brother series and while the female lead is a minor character in a previous book, it is a stand alone.
**** Some might find my description of Luke/ Thor spoilery but I won't give away the plot!!!!****
Olivia is a young business owner with a stalker and a protective step parent. Luke "Thor" Thornton is her former Navy, current construction manager, millionaire step brother. The two have only met once but they both left a lasting impression. When the stalker becomes too much, Olivia decides to house sit for their parents and Luke's dad asks him to look out for her.
If you've read Wrecker (my favorite so far), then you should remember Olivia as she was Sage's roommate and she proved to be great with a baseball bat. She was fun as a friend but I really enjoyed her as the lead. She has had some set backs but she didn't let them keep her down. I loved that she owned a gentlemen's club and I loved that she was so enterprising. She had some weak moments (after the hair salon) but overall I liked her.
Luke, on the other hand, was my least favorite "hero" in the series. He wants her even though he is convinced she is a half step up from a prostitute for the first half of the book and then he spends the time between then and their first sexual experience thinking she is a liar. He was a judgemental a-hole and I really disliked how Gold retcon'd a lot of Olivia's history to make her job/history okay with him. I didn't dislike him as much toward the end but I wish I had enjoyed his POV chapters more.
The villain was predictable (and it surprised me that neither Olivia nor Luke gave the person much consideration) and there was more detail about what they ate than there was in the denouement but overall this was a pleasant way to pass time.
Olivia and Luke are step-siblings that are officially meeting for the first time when she is house sitting for her mom and step dad. Luke has some preconceived notions about Olivia and she just thinks he's got an over inflated ego. The story is cute and funny. The transitions between his and her points of view were clear. There were a couple of things that popped up that never were clearly fleshed out such as her friend Charlotte that popped up and then disappeared and his friend Nate who was mention several times at the beginning of the book only never to actually appear but other than that I really enjoyed the book.
Love Sasha Gold and her books! Large alpha, possessive men who know what they want! This sexy short story was a nice break from a heavier read. A lot of steam. A little suspense. Thor hit my spot. Pun intended.
