Hannah: Two decades ago, my world turned pitch black when tragedy ripped my husband, Cooper, away from me. The cops brushed it off as a mere accident, but I knew deep down that something far more sinister was at play. Our neighbor, Nick Sterling, with years of unsettling obsession with me, was the only suspect. Deep in my bones, I knew it—even if the police couldn't find the evidence. When the police finally dug into Nick's twisted obsession, unearthing the haunting evidence of his decade-long stalking of me in his own home, it felt like a glimmer of hope. But just as the grip of justice tightened, Nick slipped through their fingers, leaving behind an eerie trail of unanswered questions and a chilling sense of dread. The scars of his torment still linger, a constant reminder of the twisted power he held over my life Now, in an uncanny twist of fate, our paths collide again. The man I hold responsible for the demise of my beloved Cooper, who shattered our lives, stands before me under a new guise—Wes Soros, a wealthy and influential businessman. On the cusp of fatherhood, he's mastered the art of reinvention, engaged to a woman oblivious to the darkness that lurks beneath his polished exterior. But I see through his carefully constructed facade, and his mere presence rekindles a firestorm of anguish and fury within me. I swear on my shattered heart I will have redemption.
Wes: My life has been an intricately woven tapestry of deceit and calculated ambition—a meticulously crafted guise of success, power, and adoration. I have clawed my way to the pinnacle of wealth and influence, capturing the love of a remarkable woman within my carefully spun web of manipulation. And now, as if summoned from the depths of my own personal hell, she stands before me—Hannah Sullivan, the key to my downfall. Her presence sends a chill cascading down my spine, an icy reminder of the sinister truths buried beneath layers of deception. I can sense the existence I've constructed slipping through my desperate fingers as her mossy green eyes pierce through my carefully tailored mask. As Hannah delves deeper, seeking justice for her husband, the noose begins tightening, threatening to expose the darkness I've worked so hard to conceal. The stakes escalate as I realize that Hannah will stop at nothing in her pursuit to destroy me. She must have forgotten who I am and what lengths I will go to protect what is mine. Even if it means killing the woman, I once thought I loved. I swear on whatever soul I have left. I will not lose again.
Torrie Robles was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. She currently lives a short distance from her hometown of Clovis. She is married and has three children, two boys and one girl. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration.
Writing has always been a passion of Torrie's. 2015 will mark the year she will become a self-published author. She writes contemporary romance and plans to branch out as her career takes off. She is currently working on several different manuscripts. She hopes to have them all finished and published over the next couple of years.
When she isn't working a full-time job, writing, raising her children, or just taking care of life Torrie's biggest hobby is getting lost in books. Her passion for reading and the authors she looks up to has allowed her to make her dreams come true. Her fellow authors have truly been her inspiration.
Torrie Robles comeback to the book world not only met but blew my expectations out of the water. While Redemption is the last book in a trilogy it can be read as a stand-alone but I do suggest starting with Manipulation.
Robles has always had the stunning ability to evoke emotions you didn’t even know you had. She uses that ability beautifully in Redemption. I will say there are a few trigger warnings as this is dark romance.
Hannah’s story of finding redemption for wrongs committed against her will either end her life or give her peace.
I loved every second of all 3 books. It is totally different to anything out there. It is 3 love stories in 1, yet it is not a love story. It’s a murder mystery, yet it is not a mystery. It is simply brilliant. I just want more! I envy everybody that will read the trilogy for the first time!
