Navid and Zana slayed me! The way they adored each other was mesmerizing. Zana worships young, innocent Navid and swears to always protect him.

Navid, in turn, can't imagine life without his older, successful husband. He loves submitting to Zana and realizes that sex doesn't have to be painful; it can be wonderful and liberating.

This book is set in Roe Horvat's omegaverse, so it goes without saying that the story is incredibly sexy, with many, many scenes of the two men making love, sometimes raw and hungry, sometimes tender and careful, but always satisfying.

The narrative spans the first few years of Zana and Navid's marriage, with Navid beginning his studies at university and the men finding out Navid has a condition that will make conceiving a child very difficult.

There is a definite plot trajectory, which ends with Zana and Navid getting pregnant with their son Caleb. A bonus scene set in the here and now is included. Their HEA spans decades!

I strongly encourage reading Devoted, Caleb's and Nate's story, prior to reading this one.

If only love was this real and pure then the world would be a much happier place. There's no doubt that this author brings the heat. I mean a panty change is a must and it's always downright uncomfortable! Although I found Innocent a little too romanticized, there's something beautiful about reading a romance that gets you all sappy.

“You stole my heart. I had to steal you whole so that I wouldn’t bleed out. I shouldn’t have ever been allowed to do it, but it’s done. You can’t disappoint me, my love. You’re my treasure.”

This book is an erotic MM Omegaverse story featuring a much older distinguished Zana and the love of his life Navid. He proves that when you have found the other piece to your heart, you will move heaven and earth. It explains why a modern man would heade tradition against all reservations to make 18 year old Navid his.

Innocent was a simple story of letting love bloom whilst reaping the rewards for all your efforts. With many tender moments and a couple of mating heats thrown in for our pleasure, Roe Horvat brought their smut A Game. 🔥🔥

Roe Horvat does it again. This book is full of incredibly written sex and is elevated beyond being porn without plot by both the simplicity of the story - two men falling in love - and the emotional connectivity between Navid and Zana.

We first met this pair in their grown up son Caleb's book Devoted when they are dealing with the fallout of him meeting and getting involved with an older alpha photographer Nathaniel.

My review of that one is here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

In Innocent, Roe takes us back to the brief peek we got into Navid and Zana's first meetings and their wedding night. It's a tale of breathtaking beauty and incandescent heat, a study in contrasts between the naivety of a young omega protected by his conservative alpha father and a man from the same culture who has lived and travelled abroad and widened his horizons.

I loved just how deeply Zana loved Navid. He fell from the moment he saw the shy 17-year-old and his passion never fades as we see the first hesitant steps after their marriage.

In Devoted both Navid and Zana come across just as conservative and hidebound as his family do in this book, so it's interesting to see what they were like as much younger men.

The sex, as in any Roe book, is beyond filthy in all the best ways, filled with everything you'd expect in an mPreg Omegaverse world. There's knotting, heat breeding, and dirty talk.

As my lovely friend Dani says: Don't pick this up and then whinge about too much sex because this series from Roe is all about how the physical manifestation of love between two people can reach beyond just the act itself and into an emotional tie which binds throughout the hard times.

PS: This cover is beyond beautiful!

Easy 5 stars! I don't care anymore at this point. Roe Horvat can write a long ass grocery list and I would still read it. We all need a man like Zana Massoud!

I was 1000% prepared to be obsessed with Innocent after reading another of Roe Horvat's non-shifter Omegaverse stories, Precious, but I didn't enjoy Innocent nearly as much.

Sure, Innocent brings the obsoletely searing heat that Roe is known for, but the old-fashioned, sort of formal world didn't work for me as much. I think Precious is a much later (in time) version of this same universe, but it felt worlds apart.

At times, it felt a little too sappy and a little too... empty, and though I enjoyed it, I missed that perfect balance that Roe Horvat often gets between sexy/emotional/plotline. It veered a little off course of me, and even the VERY hot sex didn't save it. Plus, lots of focus on the mPreg aspects of the relationship, which isn't my favorite part of Omegaverse stories.

I still want more Roe Omegaverse writing, but I think more hot, bearded outdoorsy guys next time, please.

Well... It's been a minute since I read me some erotica... #ImAGoodGirl #YeahRightImReallyNot
and who better than Roe Horvat to... let's say... reintroduce me to the genre.

See, I'm a sucker for Roe's filthy writing... add this to non-shifter omega-verse AND... #StickAForkInMeImDone

Let's start with what I loved!
- THE SEX.

I mean... erotica? so yeah. It was hot as Hell... with all the knotting, hole licking, nipple sucking... You get my drift. It was hot with a capital H. #PantiesNotOnlyWentPoofTheyActuallyMelted

- NO WOMEN

I just love alternate realities where women are not even part of the world building for many reasons. First, no homophobia, second.. no chance of bitchy females trying to get between my MCs, third... no chance of surprise MF sex in my MM romance. #KThanxBye.

- The Characters

Zana was actually a great alpha, loved Navis, though insta, with his whole heart, encouraged him to follow his dreams, was there for him through thick and thin... He was a good husband... with a big c*ck #WholePackage

Navid was sweet but had a spine too. I love that Roe didn't go with the whole "Damsel In Distress" route for the omega. #MoreThanTheEyeCanSee

THE SEX

Oh I said that already... #MovingOn

Now for the niggles:

- The Formatting: we are reading part of the book and then BAM! The next sentence is happening later in time...days or weeks later, with no space or clue that time has passed. It was jarring to say the least.

- I know that is basically PWP, but there were some things that weren't given as much importance as they should have. Navis and Zana's parents, Zana's work. Navis studies... it was all swept under the rug.

- The bonus chapter.... I mean it was like the author just wanted to throw more angst for the sake of it... 23 YEARS LATER... and we get a Zana who has tuned into another man, who has neglected Navid, and who has an epiphany in a matter of minutes. It really didn't make sense at all.

- It was sometime too sappy, the endearments were just a little too much, and Zana asking Navid how he was feeling got tedious and got on my nerves a bit because #LessIsMore

So.. in conclusion:
I read it and I didn't skim
It was hot.
It was sappy, sometimes a little too much.
It was sweet.
It needed a bit more polish and tightening up, a little more depth.. It would have been a 4-4.5 star read for me.

A classic Roe Horvat.

Explosive, smutty and hotter-than-hell sex, coupled with tender love and a good dollop of sweetness. Roe simply understands how to write couples that grow and prosper through a sexual relationship without leaving the real feelings behind.

Zana and Navid are Caleb’s parents we know from an earlier novel, and I enjoyed finding out how their relationship unfolded many years before Caleb’s story.

I loved the ‘innocent’ theme here.
Navid is only 18 when he marries 10 years older Zana with no idea about any form of sex. Zana’s understanding patience, love and determination to make Navid happy not only in bed is sigh-worthy, even if it has a tendency towards the ‘too sweet’ for me towards the end.

Thoroughly enjoyed this.

4 "You stole my heart, I had to steal you whole" ⭐

I have read and loved everything published by Roe Horvat in the past and, the happy trend continues.😇 This book is the story of Zana and Navid Massoud, who were parents to Caleb, our MC from 'Devoted'.

Zana is a powerful alpha from a prominent business family who fell for Navid immediately and decided to marry him and Navid is an omega who comes from quite a traditional family. Both of them are likeable individually and lovable together.

This book is for you if-

•You like praise kink.
•Lots of dirty talks.
•But wrapped in the pretty package of Romance.
•Or if, you are looking for something erotic and filthy but fluffy too.

3.75 stars ⭐️ Aww!! Roe Horvat can write the dirtiest things in a story where two innocent MCs are doing them for each other. Does that sound promising? Yes, it is. After my last reading, in which there wasn't any sex at all, Zana and Navid cured that complaint by giving an overload amount of sex. This book was sweet and smut. I don't like insta-love, but here we are talking about Roe Horvat's book, and it was okay to me that Zana instantly fell in love with Navid.
Zana was an alpha, and he had an intention to married Navid (omega) when he came to his legal age. Zana wanted to get permission from both Navid and his alpha father. Since Zana was a wealthy man and the fact that everyone scared of him and respected him were advantages of claiming Navid was his.

Navid liked Zana because he felt safe and comfortable around him. He didn't know what was the meaning of love, but the strange feeling he felt in his heart since the day he met Zana was something he needed to keep in there forever.

“You’re my everything, Zana. So warm, shining. You’re my sun.”

I loved Zana and Navid so hard. They were meant to be together. I loved how Zana understood every need of Navid before Navid turned them into words. Giving Navid his freedom proved that how hard Zana loved Navid. The love was sweet and pure, and the story couldn't be more sugaryyyy.
Girls, take a few seconds, and let's admire the cover.

What a story, jeez I loved Navid and Zana hard!

Zana has to take fast steps if he wants to claim the young Navid. Navid is almost eighteen and his father can’t wait to pass him on to the highest bidder. He’s so is in love with the beautifully shy and innocent omega.
Zane’s status as a rich tycoon is of help and now he can take his husband home.

Navid is raised to be an obedient omega, to serve his husband’s every need. His surprise is high when Zane seems to be the most considerate, loving, caring, and devoted alpha husband. Zane refuses to take what’s not freely given. Main while he shows Navid the beauty of all the sexual possibilities. Besides this, he lays the world at his feet.

If you ever read an erotic story from this author’s hand you know what can happen, if not, prepare yourself for the most erotic passionate passages. Prepare yourself for a wonderful story, highly romantic, with wonderful characters with a strong emotional connection, with high sexual drive, arousing AF, and never superficial.
Navid and Zana are extremely lovable, most of the time it’s all going smoothly between them, there are some hiccups and emotional moments. All to make this story even more appealing!
Wonderfully written story, I read it in one sit, I couldn’t put it down.

Ps. Sometimes I think I live under a stone, and I’m horrible with names, in the beginning I missed Navid and Zana were Caleb’s (from Devoted) parents. Luckily I understood it quickly.
What a great idea to write their story, it made so much sense.

4 smutty-insta-lust-stars!! 💞❤️ Another Roe Horvat omegaverse book.. 🔥full of hot omega-sex.. 🔥. However, this one had an “arranged marriage” feel with the MCs gradually getting to know each other despite the physical start to their relationship😉. I especially loved the bonus chapter since it gave closure to Zana and Navid’s side of Caleb’s story (Devoted) . Highly recommended to all fans of Roe!! 👍🏻👍🏻

Thoroughly stunning and heartbreakingly perfect, Roe Horvat’s latest novel, Innocent is absolutely magnificent.

From the opening scenes of Zana and Navid’s courtship, to their wedding night, to their move to Dalton City Innocent was impossible to put down. I greedily consumed each exquisite detail about their lives. Every step along the way, as Zana and Navid fall deeper in love, this is an entrancing story.

This is an incredibly emotional romance, and I lost track of the number of times I came to tears. Initially I welled up over the utter beauty and intensity of their love. Again as the couple bravely face what they might have lost, and finally at the breathtaking conclusion. It took forever to make it through Innocent, as I couldn’t help rereading scenes as I went along. Trust me, you’re going to need plenty of time to savor this novel.

Of course, Roe Horvat’s erotica is always spectacular, but when blended with the emotion between Navid and Zana, the result is simply glorious. Mr. Horvat captures the raw essence of their love, and builds upon that as the couple face the events life throws at them. Plus, by exploring the cultural difference between the homeland and the new world, Roe Horvat continues to expand this unique and fascinating omegaverse.

The D/s dynamic between this couple is compelling, and so appealing. Between Navid’s innate submissiveness as an omega, his traditional upbringing, and his own unique personality, the comfort and security he gains in Zana’s domination is beautiful. Zana’s arrogance and domineering characteristics are honest and organic to him, so it’s like a match made in heaven between these two.

There are a number of intertwining stories, most of which can be read in any order. I would recommend reading Caleb’s story, Devoted, first, because the bonus chapter will be much more meaningful if you do. In hindsight, Navid’s actions in Devoted make sense, and are understandable now that I know his story, and I can’t wait to revisit that novel again.

This whole delectable series is one for the re-read pile!

Ohmygoodness, I just LOVED this story. For something that could have been tricky as far as age gap, consent, power balance and lack thereof, I absolutely ADORED Navid and Zana, so so much.

This is set in Roe's omegaverse world, and this is the story of Caleb's parents - whose story is Devoted and where we first meet his parents. In this we get to read about their first meeting and their first few months together before Caleb.

Zana sees Navid and is just completely smitten, so in love and determined to marry him and get Navid away from his horrible father. Although he's older and richer and more worldly, he is just so sweet and patient with Navid, who was raised with ultra-conservative and strict rules and ideas on alpha/omega pairings and the do's and do nots. I think that everything was handled so sweetly, while also crazy hot - Zana is just patient and determined to make sure every touch is made with care and then eventually love.

Lots of kinks in this one, folks, aside from basic omega verse tropes. It's very hot, very sexy, and still romantic and so sweet.

I really loved the ending where we go back to the present and after the events of Devoted. I love Zana and Navid together!

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Navid was indeed innocent. His body and his soul. And now he belonged to Zana.

Leave it to Roe Horvat to make a smut and slick-filled omegaverse romance surprisingly emotional.

After Teacher, this was probably my fave of the series. It was sweet, and I loved how Zana fell first and Navid slowly came out of his shell.

Navid was indeed innocent. His body and his soul. And now he belonged to Zana.

The beginning was a bit iffy, but the romance turned out pretty loving.
Not much else to say, since most of this was heat-cum-slick-hole, but I still enjoyed it for what it’s supposed to be.

Loved it.

Signature Roe Horvat: super sugary sweet and incredibly dirty. Navid and Zana were so cute, I'm obsessed with the way they love each other so deeply. While it made me sad that they lost their way a bit later on in their marriage, I also liked that it added a layer of realism of how easy it is to take those we love for granted. I loved how Zana took accountability and their relationship grew by the end. Beyond precious!!!

I hope Roe Horvat writes more books in this universe 🤞🏼 Would love more about Aiden and Geof or a story about literally anyone !!!!!!

As always the erotic part of the book was great. I also liked the tenderness between Navid and Zana, there was so much love. After reading devoted my feelings for Navid were difficult to describe because of his actions.
The first part of the story was a 5 stars reading for me.
But the end... I don't know. How could Zana not have seen how he failed Navid? And how could it take him 20 years to notice? On one hand this doesn't fit in the first part, on the other hand, isn't this how actual relationships work? After some years someone is neglected or neglecting? But am I reading paranormal romance novels to read about reality and husbands, who forget about their husband because of work?
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

First of all, Roe’s work is the only omegaverse/mpreg I read.

Second, we all know Roe for his unparalleled filthy sex. No matter the book, we know he’ll deliver. After having a set up for Navid and Zana’s future in “Devoted,” seeing how they began is really special and adds so many layers to what little we saw of them in “Devoted.” This book is about love, it’s about a physical connection, but most importantly, it’s about choice and consent in all aspects of a relationship. Not just in sex. The beginning starts with a question from Zana to Navid, and that’s how it remains throughout the book. That utter unconditional peace and freedom that Zana gives sets the tone and carries throughout. But as is in their relationship, Navid is the center. We see him bloom and become a man and it really was something beautiful to read. Their bond is special, and I just wanted to wrap myself up in it. So much so, that the bonus chapter actually made me cry.

And no, I can’t review a Roe book without mentioning the fact that it is STILL SMOKIN’ HOT. But there is so much more than that, and I ended up reading this book in one sitting.

Just a heads up, you can’t read the bonus chapter if you haven’t read “Devoted” yet or else you’ll be a bit thrown off.

Everyone knows I’m a Roe fan, but this book was next level awesome. His writing is a gift.

I liked where Roe went with this, from the extremely sheltered life of Navid to the epilogue which ties up Navid and Zana's love story in the aftermath of their son's elopement. And no, I don't regret reading the epilogue before reading Caleb's First or Devoted since I expect nothing less than an HEA in store for Caleb -- I now have more to look forward to in seeing how he gets there! I wonder if I can fit both of those in before the end of the month...who needs sleep when there are more omega heat stories to read?!

This author writes the Hawtest books ever. And I’m here for all of it. This book is about Caleb’s parents and their love. What a stark difference from when we met them. Which for me sometimes made it hard to read. I kept thinking how did they get to be the way they where with their own son? Their love was such a beautiful caring kind of love. From the moment they met their love was patient and kind. I fell in love with them along the journey. So why? How did it get to where we met them? I wish their story came first. The writing was of course wonderful, the smexy was HAWT!!!!! And though there weren’t many side characters the world building was on point. I don’t know who is next but please keep them coming. This is an omegaverse book, so their is knots, heats, omega/alpha dynamics to consider before reading.

Innocent
By Roe Horvat

It's Roe Horvat. Need I say more? As like every other story I've read by this author it's exquisite. It's elegant. It's emotional. It's erotic.

I loved both Zana and Navid and their story. I didn’t so much care for the last chapter or so. (A bit too much reality crashed in on their perfect relationship and reminded me that most relationships hit that point at some time.) But I loved the way it ended.

It was just fine as a narrative, though the heat was a 5/5. And that's the thing. I came into this book because it was being talked about in book rec groups. And yet when I did came around to it, I found the book to be erotic scenes tied together with plot, rather than a plot holding the erotic scenes.
The characters felt hollow. Zura only wants Navid, and he gets him pretty easy. Navid wants to be the perfect husband, and as Zura thinks he holds the moon it doesn't take much effort. It feels resolved almost at the halfway point, with some filler moments, and a bit of drama at the end for a change of flavor. However, neither of the mains want or need for much, they don't change much, and they seem to have no issue with letting go of dreams when the plot needs them to.
Also, if you read this one and plan to read Devoted next, skip the extra chapters that say a part of the plot from Zura's and Navid's point of view. I haven't read Devoted and don't particularly care to, but I definitely feel like I now know everything that goes on in it. Those chapters seem to be from somewhere close to the middle of that book.

3.5⭐

I'm was hesitant to read this one because I really didn't like these characters in the previous book. Then the more I read the more I was devasted that these two who were so kind and loving could grow into who they became as parents.  Because of circumstance I can see how they became over bearing parents but I guess they just seemed so drastically different than they grow to be. However I did really appreciate the chapter set in the future that take place after book two, that shows them getting back to the connection they once shared.

A much better balance of story and sex, way less cringy dirty talk, but plenty of knotting, breeding , sex toys and fisting

I was captivated by the glimpses of Navid and Zana in "Devoted" and a full story enthralled me even more. I absolutely loved this book and both MCs. Zana's love for Navid is palpable in every word and every touch. Zana has power over Navid but not once he abuses it. He makes sure Navid has a choice and gives him freedom to be himself. And Navid thrives. Character development is fascinating. Sex scenes are as hot as ever but the book is a beautiful love story first and foremost.
Bonus chapter set in "Devoted" timeline was a perfect closure for Navid and Zana combining two stories into one. Even 23 years later their love is just as strong.
