Sue
Sue asked Ian McGuire:

I just finished you book. It was one of the very few books that I actually felt like I was a fly on the wall. Wonderful! Gripping! I can't wait until your next one. Will it be soon?

Sam
Sam asked Ian McGuire:

Hi Ian, I am 3/4s through The North Water and loving it. It starts off feeling quite focused on the whaling industry although the plot expands beyond that. One of my favourite novels is Moby Dick and I guess it's hard to write a book about whaling at all without thinking about that. Are you a fan of Moby Dick and did it influence you at all in writing The North Water? I see a bit of Starbuck in Sumner.

A.M. asked Ian McGuire:

Just in case you missed it? - the australian ABC book show adored North Water http://iview.abc.net.au/programs/book-club/AC1511H009S00#playing
