Ginny Price Yes, towards the end there is.
C Not much; I just finished it, and bad language isn't a memory that comes from this book... There is a plenty of beautiful descriptive language about the landscape and foods of Italy, and it sets a wonderful, accurate sense of place. Toward the end of the book, the protagonist does overhear her Dad say one bad word, and it stands out to her because it is the first time she has ever heard him say a curse word.
