Laurean Not trying to one up on the age issue, but at age 70, I am reading and loving Anne of Green Gables for the first time. Wonder how I missed reading Anne of Green Gables as a child. I did read all the Louisa May Alcott books, Gone with the Wind and Eloise as a child!
Zoe I absolutely agree with the posted comments. The name of the book was familiar and yet I have never read it (and I think, age wise, I'm the oldest commentor. LOL) It is a wonderful story!
Hufsa Of Course!! This is a book for readers of any age!
Ruby Amazing for all ages!!! <3
Bridget Martin I don't think I would have been charmed by Anne when I was young but ... Well, that was the 60's.
My loss though. In my 60's now and I found this story to be delightful.

I'm not sure how I missed this book back then. I was all about Little
women, Greek myths, and Dickens though.
Marianna K I'm just 46 :-) and I am thrilled and enchanted to read it. Great for any age and backgrounds!
Fiona I first read the series (plus the author's other series) as a child. I have since read it so many times that I can't count, and I am now several decades into adulthood. As an adult, you will see more of the subtleties and backstory, than a child does.
S. Daisy I think every girl (or woman) should read this book at some time in their lives. And it's a good book, entertaining for all ages, so I don't see why not read it at the young age of 65. ;-)
Tammi Absolutely! I am 57 and am reading it for the very first time and can't believe I missed this growing up. The first chapter almost made me put it down but from the second chapter on I have really fallen in love with the characters and the story.
QueenAmidala28 This is one of the best books ever written - whether you are 8 or 80 you will find something to love with this book!
Eliza ✨ Sounds like a great plan to me. I know a 75-year-old who loves this book with all her heart and soul.
