I live in Leigh on Sea, a small seaside town just outside London on the coast of Essex, about ten minutes from Southend, which boasts the longest pier in the world. I live with my husband and two ever-growing children, who I let think are the boss of me; along with two dogs who actually are.
As the wonderful Beatrix Potter said, “There is something delicious about writing the first words of a new story. You never quite know where they’ll take you.” I know exactly what she means.
I couldn't believe it when I saw this when I woke up and saw this. I knew I needed to read this the second I saw it, and it didn't disappoint. I was so amazed by this. And I want more. No. I need more.
I don't usually read books that re-tell a story from a different point of view as I tean to think it is the author being a bit lazy but US Male left you with such a WTF moment at the end you were desperate to know what had happened. When I started reading this I got the opposite of what I expected, it wasn't so much a re-telling of the same story but a completely different story. The inside of a serial killer's mind is a scary place (as is an author's!!) and you find exactly why he changed his MO. All I can say is that I still need more!!!
Mostly the first story but from Nathan's perspective, when the twist from the first story is proved to be true and we learn how Nathan became Nate and Nathan. Nothing new to advance the plot but the ending does call out for a thrid book!
