C.D. Reiss

CD Reiss is a New York Times bestselling author. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up she's at the well hauling buckets.

Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.

She's frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn't ever gotten her out of chopping a single cord of wood.

If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.

5 “An ocean cannot separate us” Stars
Warning! Total Gush-Fest Ahead

I’m utterly and completely enamored Prince Charming! This is CD Reiss at her finest! Her writing is flawless. Her characters are larger than life. This book is a masterpiece! I want to marry Keaton and have his babies!

“I want him. I want him now, and I want him in twenty years.”

Let’s start there, Keaton is perfect! From his description (tall, dark, dimples, calculating), to his mannerisms (measured and sure), and beyond, I was swept up in his wave. I knew after reading King of Code that he was the BBF for me. Mysterious, take-charge, and aloof. Those traits are my kryptonite and he has them in spades. I dare say, he’ll be the measuring stick for all my future BBFs. Yes, I love him that much!

“He’s everything. I love him, and more than anything, to the ends of the earth and the end of time.”

The writing is beyond amazing! The storyline and execution are above reproach. I feel that excellent writing and well researched plots have always been this author’s forte, but this book is on an elevated level for me. Those staples coupled with these larger than life characters -- equals excellence. Sheer perfection!

I have no intentions of spoiling the plot, hence the warning about my gushy post. I can only say that this one sang to me on basic level. It spoke the hopeless romantic and the practical and pragmatic sides of me. It was an experience that I savored and I hope everyone has an experience similar my own. I was so sad to see this one end.

“My skin misses him. The waters go still again, but they crave the rippling wake of his touch.”

Highly recommended to readers who enjoy a bit of mystery and intrigue, perfect book boyfriends, and the women who love them above all else.

If you are a reader who likes your romance blended with mystery, suspense and some action stuff with FBI, cyber crime, hackers, dark web etc, then this is the perfect book for you, worth 5 stars.

Personally, the whole mystery-suspense part bored me. I tended to skim and scan those parts. But that’s me. I prefer my romance books not to focus so much on the crime investigation stuff.

description

I definitely would have dropped the book if I didn’t love the MCs that much. I loved their fun side and banter, I loved their scorching hot scenes and I loved their emotional moments. I was invested in them deep enough to go on reading their adventure.

description

So, it is safe to say that, for the sake of this couple I loved so much, I read the whole thing but I am still saying that I would have preferred it with less action/crime stuff going on and with more romance.

Because I didn’t read Book 1 before this, I might still have a few questions unanswered so if you are a fan of this genre and intend to read the whole series, then I would advise you to begin with Book 1.

***********************************************

My rating of the love story in it: 5 stars because I loved the couple and their interaction. They had a strong chemistry.

My rating of the whole book: 3 stars because I was bored with everything else other than the couple’s love story.

In this case, an average of 4 stars would be fair, I guess...

***********************************************

Now, here are some fun, sexy and emotional QUOTES from the book…

“Can you remember something for me?” he says as he wedges his hips between my legs.
“Do I look like a reminder app to you?”

description

***********************************************

“I lied to you. I never wanted this for one night. You’re talking about a transaction, and I’m telling you, I’ve been around the world and I’ve never met a woman like you. You’re cop and criminal. You’re subtle and direct. Everything I know about you is the opposite of something equally true. You’re a coin flipping in the air and I never know if you’re coming up heads or tails.”

***********************************************

“No matter what happens, never, ever believe I abandoned you. You can forget me. I can go into the dustbin with every other man who wasn’t worth you. I don’t care. No matter what happens, I didn’t desert you. Say you understand.”

“I understand.” I only say it because he asked me to, not because he’s making sense.

“Say you believe me.”
“I believe you, but I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
He runs his hand along the length of my arm. “You will.”

***********************************************

My relationship with Keaton is impossible to define, but it’s something. It exists. It’s a living thing, growing, changing, becoming a part of my life whether I want it or not.

***********************************************

The music swirls. The jets of water fly upward, and as they hit a finale, he enters me. When I cry out, it’s not in pain or pleasure. It’s the anticipation leaving my body all at once.

He presses his hands against mine, pushing them against the glass, which is no longer cold but warm from my touch. He thrusts powerfully and slowly. Every movement is calculated.

description

Another concerto rises from the speakers, and like the fountain that is programmed to explode with the rhythm, so is his rhythm programmed to my body.

The music rises again, but I can barely hear it. The jets of water have turned into a blur and my attention can only focus on one thing. Him. The way our bodies slam together.

description

A million miles away, his voice says, “yes, yes, yes,” in a drumbeat of affirmation.

Below us, the music falls, dies, and the last jets of water drop to the pool’s surface with a splash. The crowd applauds, and Keaton and I catch our breath.

description

So as you see, the couple's parts are worth everything :))))

***********************************************

SAFETY: Totally safe. No cheating, no OW/OM.

Cassie Grinstead is a FBI agent assigned to uncovering a white supremacist cell. While investigating her case, she believes a popular hacker named Alpha Wolf can be an asset as an informant; however, identifying him proves challenging. If Cassie succeeds, she will earn the longstanding promotion she’s been seeking and also the much needed validation of success.

“Even though I do want him, very much so, and it’s that very real threat that he is lawless that piques my interest as much as never seen him try to hard.”

Keaton Bridge is a man known to have strong hacking associations, but even with a reputation that precedes him, much mystery remains. Knowing his long-term goal, Keaton has been planning for the day, but when he meets Agent Grinstead, he begins to question his timeline.

“Whenever I’m in a room with you, I feel like you press against the world. My world. My attention.”

With a family history of single mothers, Cassie knows the struggle and also has an inherent distrust of men. Coupled with her job, trusting people isn’t easy for her. While she knows Keaton is hiding many truths, she is deeply attracted to his veneer and the possibility of cracking it. For Keaton, he believes there’s more to Cassie than just a shiny badge and he’s waiting for the opportunity to tarnish her.

“Do you kiss a girl after she’s had your dick in her mouth?” He takes me by the back of the neck and kisses me deeply."

Told in dual POV, the chemistry between Keaton and Cassie is palpable as their witty banter propels these two as a couple. Not known to back down, Cassie remains a strong force and challenges Keaton on an equal plane. With her background, they compliment each other perfectly and once they surrender to their feelings, sparks fly.

From being introduced to Keaton in King of Code, I was immediately intrigued by his character and discovering more about him was satisfying. With Cassie’s tough exterior, it was good to know what makes her tick and also understand her loving relationship with Nana. For the first half of the book, the tension surrounded Cassie and Keaton but then it started to escalate as Keaton’s past was unavoidable and leading to a faster pace. However, I did want a bit more into Keaton’s past and the second part of Cassie’s investigation wasn’t fully reconciled. Perhaps, that will lead into a third book?

Ultimately, Prince Charming offers a romance between two unlikely characters that discover their differences are just as unifying as their similarities. As their priorities align, they get closer to the truth. With this author’s writing style of punchy straightforward prose, it enhances these characters and the overall storyline.

For those seeking a contemporary romance with a fiery heroine and British gentleman, Prince Charming will appeal to you.

“He had emotions, tons of them, and they were complex, real, and intense.”

After finishing up Prince Charming and gathering my thoughts, I was trying really, really hard to figure out how to articulate how I felt about this story. The word which kept coming to my mind was cool, not very profound I know, but oh wow, this book was just simply cool and awesome. C D Reiss has literally knocked it out of the park with this one and I have no doubt readers will love the addictive and intriguing world C.D. Reiss has created for us to devour.

Keaton Bridge is tall, dark, handsome and British with an accent that will melt even the coldest of hearts, but… he is also a person of interest with the FBI, dangerous and not just dangerously handsome. I absolutely loved Keaton and I knew he was sure to be a force to be reckoned with and a man of pure mystery. The more I read the more I wanted to know. I was desperate for all the ins and outs of Keaton’s psyche and wanted, no needed so much more.

“I promise you, I’m going to disappoint you, I’m going to hurt you. But not today”

Cassie is an FBI agent who plays by the rules. She is smart, driven and avoids trouble at all costs… that is until Keaton Bridge enters her life. From the first moment she walked into the interrogation room to question the man of interest she was drawn to him on such a deep level, deeper than she should ever feel questioning a suspect. She loves the way he sees her, like really sees her and the way that makes her feel. She craves his attention.

The attraction, connection and chemistry between Keaton and Cassie was out of this world intense and hot, even though things were a little slow to get burning. I personally loved that though, because otherwise it would have felt rushed and unrealistic.

“I know I can be told all the truths, I can have all the facts, but I also know that what I have with Keaton is real. I love him, and it’s real”

I would love to know the research C.D. Reiss has done prior to writing this novel, because I am definitely no expert on computer hacking or cyber laws, but it just felt so real to me. Not only was the writing flawless and captivating, but the plot development and terminology used was nothing short of outstanding.

If you’re anything like me and love intriguing and captivating stories that pull you in from the start then definitely give this a go. C.D. Reiss has outdone herself with this ridiculously brilliant and mysterious romance.

After I read King of Code I knew I had to read Keaton Bridge's story as soon as possible. He was such a mysterious character that he had me captivated from the first hint of him. Plus he's British and well, duh I'm going to need more British hotties in my life.

I thought this story was really well written and it had me intrigued from start to finish. We kept getting little hints of Keaton without his full story being revealed and it had me going crazy. I wanted to know everything there was to know about him and couldn't put my Kindle down until I found my answers. Books like this, that can get me that insane over a character are always big winners for me.

I also adored his relationship with Cassie. Keaton was a strong character but Cassie matched him perfectly because she wasn't one to back down. It was great to see that she wasn't afraid to push back when it came to Keaton and I thought it made their connection that much stronger.

Overall, if you're a fan of a mysterious British bad boy than this is the book for you. I would say it could be read as a standalone, though I recommend reading King of Code since I liked that story so much and it gives a little more background on Keaton.

I LOVED the English Gentleman, chivalry is alive and well! The authentic British-isms shone through the dialogue and thought process of Keaton’s persona, a man who moved to the US at the age of 16 so has a lovely blend of character and a sexy British accent. The author depicts him as an authentic Englishman and I totally swooned over his charm, his words and his handsome sophistication.

Cassie, the heroine at the heart of this smart story, has ambition and goals set out that do not include a man like Keaton. She fights crime and, in direct contrast, it appears that Keaton is embroiled up to his neck in it! A recipe for disaster or the ingredients for a passionate relationship? As the story unfolds the mysterious past of Keaton is revealed to both Cassie and the reader giving the story a perfect air of mystery and intrigue that engaged my attention, and a love affair that made my heart beat fast with the passion on display.

The narrative is subtle in tone and put me in mind of something that may be adapted into a TV detective mini-series with hushed tones from the actors portraying the characters, an air of mystery, and danger, and secrets and lies for the audience to uncover. A contemporary romance with a sexy hero, intelligent heroine, and a story with layers to solve, making this an intriguing and swoony read.

"I’m a thrill for a woman who forgot how to seek thrills."

Where to begin? Actually it is a lovely position for a reader to be in after reading a book that is so romantic, erotic, soul-satisfying, and even provocative in its subtle undercurrent of meaning. My only problem is how to express to you the enjoyment, value and refresh to the spirit that is this latest work of C. D. Reiss.
First, allow me to briefly introduce you to the hero of the story, our "Prince Charming", Keaton Bridge. This man remains an enigma for a better part of the read, but what we do know about him is that he is a devastatingly handsome self-possessed British gentleman with a fine "sterling" polish. He also is a successful Black hat hacker, yet no one can prove he has done anything illegal. He has decided to go legitimate and invest in his high school friend's brilliant endeavor in quantum computing.

He meets Cassandra as she picks him up for questioning involving his alleged black hat hacker activities. Cassie is a sharp determined FBI agent marginalized by her fellow agents and superiors because of her gender. Cassie, too has her secrets. She comes from a history of single women who had to fend for themselves, never having the luxury of partner to care for them. Men in their world and experience are not trustworthy...reliable. We learn about her Mom and it is a surprise pedigree for a FBI agent, just as we learn that there is a "touch of larceny" in our beautiful FBI agent. "The artful dodger." She has lived with and cared for her Grandmother, Nana, who has been a source of encouragement and her all around champion.

Cassie is conflicted between the attraction for this man, Keaton whose eyes are the color of the twilight sky, and the dictates of her career. The only place in Cassie's world that Keaton can occupy is that of suspect or asset.

Keaton has an hidden agenda. At times, he does not appear to be what he is cast as. Certainly he is not a dangerous white supremacist. These odious dangerous characters are the focus of the FBI investigation in which Cassie is involved.

Told in a dual POV, we enjoy the delicate dance between criminal and law enforcer, man and woman, the "artful dodger" and this enigma of a man. The narrative is peppered with pure C. D. Reiss frank eroticism. The dialog whispered in Cassie's ear is melt worthy...heart in the throat worthy.

Whatever Keaton is or appears to be, the reader can recognize that he is indeed a modern day Prince Charming. He recognizes immediately just how much Cassie is marginalized and overlooked, despite being twice as good at her job. Keaton the criminal wants to help her career.

"'They' have ignored her for the last time, the blind buggers."

Yet, even in this effort to offer her help and information, he fears for her safety. He is smitten but he speaks to her and the reader in riddles. We are holding our breath for what we sense may come next.

Keaton is also a modern day "Prince Charming" because he does all those things a woman needs, no matter how strong and career oriented. He is ever the gentleman.

This amazing dynamic between Keaton and Cassie is enough to satisfy the heart of any romance reader, but there is more. I believe this author cleverly writes a subtext underneath this exciting and swoon-worthy romance. It has to do with what we as a society should truly fear on the "dark web". That this lawless arena is hiding the most vile and destructive ideas and forces to humanity. We need the bright white hats more than ever. We need to identify what is inherently good over what appears to be good.

We need strong empowered women and men who are gentlemen willing to love them and keep them strong. There will be always a hope, need and call for this brand of "Prince Charming".

5 STARS!!!

“I can smell her. Vanilla and gun powder. My God. She’s made of candy-coated bullets.”

OHMYDAMN!!! Chivalry has DEFINITELY made a comeback! And then some! Oh. My. God. I couldn't get enough of Cassie and Keaton. COULD. NOT. GET. ENOUGH. The push and pull. The electricity. I felt EVERYTHING from these two. They had me squirming in my bed. Cassie, well she is just a firecracker. I adored her so much! I wanted to be her bestie! Keaton!!! Keaton!!! He is as handsome as the devil himself and god dammit, I wanted to be his queen... *moans*

I loved, loved, loved Prince Charming! The sexy times were off the charts HOT. The feels were epic. The storyline was original. The banter was amazingly entertaining. And let's not forget about Cassie's grandma. Oh my gosh, she stole the show with every scene she was in! Everything about this love story was just perfection. I smiled, I laughed, I swooned, I gasped and I cried. My heart did ALL OF THE THINGS. And I kid you not when I tell you I think I even died at one point. Yep. Get ready to feel all of the everythings, basically.

I have read every book that CD Reiss has written and I have to say, Keaton and Cassie will always own a part of my heart. Also, Keaton is going to charm the pants off of readers across the globe. I can feel it...

4.5 “Charming Indeed” Stars

A Wonderful Romance to start off 2018. Two unlikely people come together and can’t fight off the feelings they feel for one another. The law and the lawbreaker, the FBI and the Dark Web, these opposite sides of the law shouldn’t attract but sometimes the heart overturns the mind.

Cassandra Grinstead, an FBI agent who wants to climb the FBI ladder. She is driven, motivated and has never really had time for love. It’s her and her Nana and Cassie is good with that. Keaton Bridge, a British Charmer, a dashing chap, a criminal of sorts and a man of mystery. These two individuals have pasts that don’t talk about. But as the attraction intensifies between the two, they also begin to share with one another and begin to trust. But these two are on opposite sides of the law, can they make this work, can they fully trust one another or will the law get between them and ruin it all?

I will say that the plot is not as simple as it seems. There are twists and turns and I really enjoyed the suspense and mystery. There are also a lot of layers to each character. While this is the second story in the author’s Hacking/Dark Web/Silicone Valley Series, this book is a stand-alone.

I must say that I loved both Cassie and Keaton. A strong heroine and a charming hero who are a bit older, have had many experiences and are both passionate and determined to do certain things with their lives. But life and love sometimes have a way of making the best laid plans go awry.

The beautiful and gripping words of the writer, bring love, lust, friendship, passion, mystery, and suspense together in a wonderful contemporary romance. Prince Charming will charm the socks right off you. And I must mention that the Epilogue does a dashing job of putting a big ole smile on your face!! A great read for beginning 2018!!!

This book started with so much potential. Cyber espionage, mystery, a skillful and smart FBI female agent tracking down hackers, a sweet and protective grandmother. This plot was rockin’.
Then a romance started floating to the surface. The chemistry, however, between the main characters was zero. The book actually hooked me pretty much straight away, but the romance was weak and underdeveloped. The sex scenes were explicit but I couldn’t feel the intimacy and affection expressed by Keaton and Cassie.
I needed to know more about Keaton outside of him being British, something that did not also fully convince me.
All in all, it was a good, hot, sexy, steamy, angsty read.

In short:
Hero 3/5 | Heroine 4/5 | Plot (Point, Originality) 4/5 | Writing Style 3/5 | Steam 4/5 | Romance 3/5 | Angst-Suspense 4/5 | Darkness 0/5 | Humor 0/5 | Secondary Characters 4/5 | Drama-Conflict 3/5 | Mystery 4/5 | Twists 4/5 | Pacing Steady | Action 4/5

“I can smell her. Vanilla and gun powder. My God. She’s made of candy-coated bullets.”

Yes! Yes! A million times YES! CD Reiss has done it again! Keaton and Cassie are just BRILLIANT together! I’ve been waiting for this story ever since I finished KING OF CODE, so my expectations were pretty damn high…well, like they normally are for an epic romance author like CD Reiss. Not only were my expectations met, but they were blown out of the water, yet again! Reiss developed a vivid world where our minds are free to wander and our realities are left behind if only for a few precious hours. This author’s smart and quick witted writing is my kryptonite! The romance, the scorching HOT scenes, and the drama are just the cherries on top!

“You have the right to remain silent.”
“I have the right to fuck you unconscious.”

Reiss leaves it all on the table with her character, and one of my favorite heroes, Keaton Bridge. This man is more than a mystery and Cassie aches to find out more about this enigma of a man. There is so much going on in PRINCE CHARMING, but Reiss writes it in a way that it flows so perfectly and seamlessly that you can’t help but just get lost in her every word. She brings the angst…she brings the passion…she brings the heart in this emotionally laced romance. If you haven’t read KING OF CODE or PRINCE ROMAN, don’t fret! PRINCE CHARMING can be read as a complete standalone. But be warned, you will become heavily addicted to this world. There will be no turning back and you will WANT, no you will NEED more! Fall in LOVE today with the new Silicon Valley royalty. Get lost in the genius that is CD Reiss. Reiss kicks the new year off with one hell of a bang! I can’t wait to see what she brings us next!

Oh I finished and I am sad. I really enjoy men with accents, apparently in print too. Keaton Bridge is my modern day James Bond. He is British, sexy, charming and did I say British?? He has this peculiar way of saying odd things that are witty and sexy at the same time. His character development was spot on.

The love story began in King of Code, but you could truly read either book in the order you choose. Cassie, Keaton's love interest is the law of course. You'll have to read the story to find out which branch. The story will make you laugh and pull at your heart strings. I overall recommend it.

The images of Vegas and fountains at Belliagio will from here out remind me of Prince Charming. Thanks Christine.

Cassie Grimstead is an FBI agent. Keaton Bridge is a person of interest on a case she’s working. He could be an asset; he could be her lover. Or she could straddle a fine, ethical line between both.

“‘After all, when a girl kisses a hacker, she shouldn’t be surprised when she’s hacked….Just leave me something to tell you over dinner.’”

I was a little all over the place with this book, not that the story is all over the place. It’s fairly tightly plotted and well developed, and readers who enjoy romantic suspense that isn’t dark but also isn’t short on steam should appreciate this one. There were parts that paced a little slow. The “cloak and dagger” talk grew a little old in the beginning. There’s drawing out suspense and then just losing your readers. But then there were other parts where the suspense pulled me in, and I wanted to keep reading to learn the answers. There were a few scenes I teared up, and parts where I swooned. I’d say it has “all the feels” but really I hate that expression.

In the beginning it felt like insta-lust, but later it’s shown how the relationship grows. Keaton is an intriguing hero, one hot little hacker in the bedroom too.

“‘I haven’t thought about holding your arms behind your back while I fuck you from behind. Taking you by the hair and pulling your head back until I see you breathless when you come.’”

Yowza! Yeah, he had all the best lines.

“‘I’m infatuated with your head and your tail, darling.’”

Cassie was a little bland, and I’m not sure why. She isn’t a weak heroine, but maybe she just doesn’t rock the strong vibes. I liked her enough; I just had a little trouble connecting with her.

“‘All night, I want you all night. Now until the sun. You promised me I wouldn’t sleep with you, and I plan on helping you keep that promise.’”

The epilogue came upon me as a bit of a surprise, seeing as how the story ends at just past 50%. The other half of this edition is samples from the two other novels that operate in the same universe/connecting plot arc. I would have liked to see the resolution a little better developed and what felt like some loose ends better elaborated on. I also gotta say, I don’t think the title and cover image does this book justice or perhaps doesn’t capture the real feel of the story.

Told via their dual first person POV, there’s a strong sense of foreboding in the tone of the novel sealing the suspense angle and plenty of steamy entanglements alongside a hero who delivers the romance and only has interest in his artful dodger (as it should be).

Yes, yes they can!

The main woman is sooooooo irritating, OMG! I hated her chapters because she reacted so OTT on every little thing, I rolled my eyes constantly, I mean she's an FBI agent and here comes some suspect for questioning who's supposed to be some uber criminal, he looks at her for like a second and we have pages about how that look made her feel, how he sees who she is inside, she feels naked when he looks at her and so on... you see my point? And this is just one look. Imagine when they actually converse. It's this type of BS all over again. I just couldn't stand it.

He's pretty great though, interesting too, wish I could've read more about him, but oh well.

Whoa whoa whoa! How I miss this series? Prince Charming is a standalone but part of the cyber/web based series of books. I have to go back and read King of Code and Prince Roman asap.
The hero, Keaton Bridge is a deeply layered, mysterious, dangerous man who has a colorful past - a suspect and a possible asset for FBI. Cassie is a smart, driven FBI agent who is determined to prove her worth and want to be taken more serious in the men world. She see Keaton as the ultimate ticket out of the small-town job.
I love the plot – it is brilliant – a dangerous world of cyber intelligent, a mysterious hero who you will swoon over. Cassie does not do complicate and trouble. Her career is most important right now but she could not help the attraction she has toward Keaton. He is an enigma and scream trouble from the beginning. The chemistry runs deeply both ways – Keaton could not stay away from Cassie. Getting close to Cassie might possibly exposed his criminal past. A relationship will be dangerous for both but they can’t help but go down this slippery road.
This book is serious addictive. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Nothing is what it appears to be and you know better than to trust anyone. I love Keaton and Cassie together – sexy, intense, passionate and scorching hot. Over all, Prince Charming is entertaining - a page turner for sure.

Prince Charming was one book I really looked forward to diving into. Keaton Bridge was one mysterious guy yet hot hot hot and I knew it would take someone pretty special to gain access to his secrets. This book can be read as a standalone, yet we got the whole introduction of Keaton in King of Code. Honestly, the first book was almost too much cyber espionage jargon and I felt a lot bit lost and gave up on it. Luckily with this book, though it’s still got a fair amount of cyber lingo, those details didn’t suffocate the love story that evolves between Keaton and Cassie.

This book had the extra added conflict of he being a part of the whole dark web and she being the good guy, doing what she can to take down those criminals within the dark web. But all things are not as they seem with Keaton and Cassie may just find an asset in him versus a criminal to take down.

Sexy and suspenseful, I look forward to the next book C.D. Reiss has up her sleeve!

Prince Charming is CD Reiss’s latest dive into the world of digital espionage. At the center is an ambitious FBI agent and a shady hacker.

When romance ignites between two people on opposite sides of the law, it forces them to examine their moral compass and possibly compromise their ideals. It’s an exciting basis for love, mystery, and danger. This book has all three qualities and it is very enjoyable, but it has the potential to be even better.

This is mostly a case of too much too soon for me. Cassie and Keaton fall incredibly hard and fast for each other. I’m willing to jump aboard the Insta-Lust Train, but when you’ve only known someone for a few weeks and you start talking about abandoning your life-long dreams just so you can be together, the train takes a quick detour to Crazy Town. Even though I enjoyed their palpable attraction, their relationship felt unnecessarily rushed.

I wish there was even more emphasis on the element of suspense because the moments of mystery and danger are extremely entertaining. The ending of the book is quite exciting, filled with a fast-paced series of puzzles and peril. If you’re looking for an element of fun, Cassie’s feisty grandmother fits the bill nicely.

Even with the shortcomings, the quality of the writing shines bright. CD Reiss’s narratives are always dynamic and imaginative, and this story is no exception. The epilogue is lovely, and I think this book will please readers who enjoy a bit of intrigue with their romance.

OK so you have a sassy and an intriguing FBI agent who's after cyber criminals, mix this with the ever so charming and chivalrous Keaton Bridge- Oh who also happens to be a notorious cyber criminal, (let's not forget his British accent) you inevitably have a great story.

I enjoyed this immensely; the plot keeps you hanging on the edge, and Keaton...

description

I love you. I love the different layers to your personality. I wish it were me (not Cass), that pulled off those layers (pun intended).

Anywayyyy, back to reality:

This was an enjoyable read; i loved Cassie and Keaton's characters, their interactions and their relationship. As you can guess, due to their occupations there are obvious hardships to hurdle through- in all, it was a great read with intriguing characters and plot, i would definitely recommend this.

I've come to expect nothing but shiny, sparkling, brilliant stories from CD Reiss and she NEVER disappoints. Whenever she announces a new book, I'm eagerly awaiting like an eager kid on a Christmas Morning Gift -Opening session.
Is it time yet ?
Is it time yet?
This current book is the story of A Black Hat Hacker trying to establish an honest career and an Artful Dodger, who stole his stereo and his heart

We met Keaton Bridge in King Of Codes and I've been so intrigued by his layered personality and what I may discover within when I get my hands on him. I'm all heart-eyed 😍 as CD peeled away layers and let his Loving, giving, generous soul shine bright.

Mr. Casual with a boner the size of a Glock 44. His seven O'clock eyes and smirk still drives me wild, and his dimples are Morse code for happiness.

Did I tell you I'm completely in love with him 💋💖💋This stoic Brit who's an enigma wrapped in codes for Cassie to uncover . For that to happen, she has to first resolve the conflict between her heart and her brain.
Add to the fact that they're so opposite in their personas, lives, worlds they might as well be living on different planets !!!

He’s as stationary and lethal as a bullet in the chamber. As perfect as a polished barrel shining in the moonlight.
I am small and vulnerable . I am made of alarms and denials. I’m water being poured into a container shaped like him.

And they ARE on different planets. She's above ground in the strictest corridors of Law and he's under the earth, hiding in dark webs, doors to which could only be opened by moderator codes and Cert Kwons.

description

She cant access him unless he lets her.
He can't reach her unless she abandons her ship .
Yet Fate casually shoots a Cupid's Arrow through their Best Laid plains !

My relationship with Keaton is impossible to define, but it’s something. It exists. It’s a living thing, growing, changing, becoming a part of my life whether I want it or not.
Yet there was nothing worse than having the fish on the boat and letting it slip off the deck, unless it was already in the bucket and it tipped and slid back to the sea.

She is left with nothing more than a 17 digit Alphanumeric code and a promise, or several promises in one 😮

“No matter what happens, never, ever believe I abandoned you.
You can forget me.
I can go into the dustbin with every other man who wasn’t worth you. I don’t care.
No matter what happens, I didn’t desert you."

This story has more to it than meets the eye. Its more of a battle against evils of the society, like Third Psyche (ominous and dangerous doesn't even begin to cover the group's mission) and the men and women dedicated to work behind the scenes, under the covers and in their basements to make this world a better place for common folks to live peacefully in an idyllic world with their families, dogs, Nana, have weddings with 769 roses, have babies and be real .
I loved , LOVED , L.O.V.E.D. Keaton 💖💚💛💜💟💗
Did I say I LOVE HIM . Not enough perhaps. He's all searing devouring kisses and goosebumps touches and soul consuming love making .. ** swoooooooooooonThump**💫
I claim him NOW , since I've read him first and he has hacked into my heart *sigh**

description

He is permanent. Even if I never told him that he was permanent, he changed the shape of my heart forever. He let me trust him, molding my heart into the shape that clicked into his like a puzzle piece. No one else will fit. He custom-made my love to fit his.

This book is THE BEST in Catherine's Hollywood and/or Black Hat Hacker series.
She sums up the entire crux of relationships in the most important of all Six words .
I'm drowning here CD ! Could this story be more perfect 💗

Pefect's the enemy of Good

So I'll stick to FLAWLESS....ok Nana😜
Did I say I Loved Keaton!!!

Oh bloody hell, Prince Charming by CD Reiss is a devilishly wicked smart romance done right. With her provocative writing, Reiss enchants and engages her readers to enter in a proverbial rabbit hole where they are bombarded by angst, passion, intensity, and most importantly, witty and charming characters.

Keaton Bridge is that cool handsome Brit that can charm anyone he meets. While he may be sexy, this lad is also a person of interest of the FBI and is considered to be dangerous.

#CDReiss_PrinceCharming

Cassie is a driven FBI agent who is suddenly thrusted into the world of Keaton Bridge. She soon finds herself craving and wanting his attention. And so begins, an intense palpable chemistry that begins to unfold between Keaton and Cassie. Will Cassie be able to walk away from this sexy British man? Or will she find herself wanting to be entangled in a web where passion meets intensity?

So if you are looking for engaging and addictive read, then I highly suggest you to read this book as it was well written and will keep you entrapped in her world where Reiss constantly keeps readers guessing as to what she has in store. And trust me, you will want to read this sexy standalone.

Cassie is an FBI agent that trying really hard to finally get promoted to her dream job. Her current case could just get her there. However, she is going to need the help of a hacker named Alpha Wolf. Finding this hacker has not been easy but Keaton Bridge might be the answer she needs to find him. Keaton Bridge is a British charming gentleman, a criminal, and a total enigma. As they work together there seems to be an attraction that grows between them. They both have trust issues which are why it takes them a while to really open up to each other. It's forbidden, it' dangerous, but it makes it all the more exciting.

I don't want to give many details of the storyline away. All I will say it is full of suspense and mystery. I was hooked on this book pretty much from the start. How could I not? Keaton was so alluring that he just pulls you in. I seriously loved him! I also really loved Cassie, she was tough, independent, and tenacious when it came to getting what she wants. I loved the chemistry between Cassie and Keaton. They just worked so well together and I definitely enjoyed their banter.

This book was really interesting and had crime show vibes throughout which made it that much more pleasant to read. The romance was definitely steamy and once the mystery picked up you don't want to put it down. I've got to say, though, Cassie's grandmother was absolutely everything! She literally stole the show with her humour and her no filter witty remarks. Her grandmother was a total delight. In all, the writing was very well done and the characters were really awesome. It is definitely worth reading, especially so you can meet that yummy British charmer. You won't regret it.

CD Reiss doesn’t often come around on my need-to-read list, but there’s no doubt her stories are stylishly written and her plots imaginative. The blurb of ‘Prince Charming’ spoke to the geek in me and the hacking, white-collar crime, the criminal and the fed were just ingredients that could and should have made a story as explosive as I’d expected.

The web Reiss wove from the beginning had a noir-ish, sometimes claustrophobic (though sexually-charged) feel to it. But if I was initially intrigued and loving the toxic, uncertain atmosphere of distrust mixed with attraction, my excitement flatlined a bit as I couldn’t see where the story was heading, except for the instant lust and the moral ambiguity that seems to be all-pervasive each time Keaton Bridge enters the picture. With every action described, every thought catalogued in a cat-and-mouse game of questions going nowhere that was perhaps meant to build suspense, but got distracting and draggy instead—oddly enough, because Cassie’s and Keaton’s attraction seemed inversely proportionate to the pacing. Cassie’s and Keaton’s to-and-fro dialogue always seemed to be heading for a stalemate (though his constant arousal and her wet panties are a separate issue entirely and rather bewildering), interrupted often by long, protracted mental musings. The point is, both of them were dodgers in so many ways and the pages and pages of dialogue and their dangerous, reckless relationship showed it.

I’m guessing that this might not be a book for everyone—the style and the introspective narrative might not be for those who prefer ‘straight-up’ writing—and I found myself on the fence about it, especially when I started getting impatient for things to roll on instead of stalling when Cassie and Keaton hit the sheets with so many questions still left unanswered. That said, the plot was well-drawn, and the details of cyber crime, the dark web and the hackers involved believably thrilling. There were some twists that I didn’t expect, carrots dangled, and like rewards for continuing to turn the pages, they were hooks that I bit into despite skimming some parts of the story.

IMHO, This Is the Best. Book. C.D. Reiss. Has. Ever. Written.
She Is the Most Artful of Dodgers.

Indeed.
This Story Had It All!! There was Drama, laugh out loud Humor, a little mystery, and Imaginative, Wickedly Smart Characters with a Great Story to tell.
It. Had. Everything I could ask for.

It was All The Things!!

Prince Charming is a continuation of a new interconnected series that includes books that can be read as standalones. If you have not read book #1, King of Code yet, be sure not to read this epilogue until you have finished it. Taylor & Harper along with other side characters do pop in here along the way a couple of times. BTW, Just to be on the up-and-up with ya'll, I wasn't a huge fan of King of Code. It was way over my head with all the Hacker Speak. I Loved the story and the characters, but the things I did not understand kept pulling me out of the story. But in this gem right here, Christine had me by the nub & nips @ the same time. I was a goner.

Keaton Bridge... Aka Prince Charming

Man was he Charming. For me with the accent, the Manners & the Dirty Mouth with the Dominant Side.

Hubba, Hubba, Hubba!!!

AND it wasn't just Keaton that stole the show. Nana!!!

She was flipping hilarious!!! I Love Her Hard!!

4.5 TRUSTWORTHY CROWNS

With Prince Charming, CD Reiss takes us back into the hacking world. She intertwines danger and romance, keeping readers enthralled with the journey of Keaton and Cassie.

My absolute favorite aspect of this story is Keaton! CD Reiss meant it when she said chivalry is back, but like most of her heroes, his manners are a bit rough in the bedroom, which is just how readers like her men. Outside of the bedroom, though, this man is charming and witty, and his constant need to take care of Cassie is what readers long for in a hero. What is most intriguing about him, though, is his brain. This man is a genius and that is sexy. I can’t say enough good things about this character, so just know that he fits the title to a tee.

Cassie is the FBI agent trying to get ahead in a man’s world. Because of this, she is tough, physically and mentally. She doesn’t hesitate to challenge others, work hard, or show off her smarts. The integration of her past to show how she has developed skills to help her future is perfect. I love that is wasn’t a “woe is me” part of her character. She understand this part of her past, embraces it to an extent, and works to be more. Her intellect, like the hero, is one of my favorite parts, and she is more than an equal to him.

Prince Charming has it all. Seduction. Suspense. Romance. While the banter is entertaining, Cassie and Keaton come to life when it becomes physical. The electricity between them pulses, and this is where readers see the real them and how they truly feel for each other. There are elements of suspense, and while I enjoyed them, it is clear pretty early on in the story what the suspenseful aspect of the plot would be. Additionally, I wish it would have happened sooner in the story, because this is the part that I couldn’t put down. The ending shouldn’t be ruined for anyone, so just know that it is the perfect resolution for these two.

CD Reiss has composed another intriguing romance, combining the dangers of the dark net and a heated romance. Add to that the forbidden romance aspect of the novel, and readers have another must read.

Cassie is an FBI agent, hoping for a promotion but keeps getting overlooked in favour of others in the bureau. She has been involved with investigating a huge cyber crime web and just needs a break to stand out and prove she is worthy of being recognised.

When Keaton Bridge is brought in for questioning she is sure she is on the edge of cracking something huge but this complex and clever man gives nothing away - apart from a look shared between them, a spark if you like. She is sure he has the answer to her questions but his poker face is strong. Everything is cryptic with him.

Mystery seems to surround Keaton, little is known about him, which instantly raises a red flag for Cassie but there is this undeniable attraction and pull between them. He just has something that intrigues Cassie, apart from his good looks, he has danger written all over him. However, she needs his help too so against her instincts she engages with him. At first it is in conversation but things soon gets physical with him and she may feel like she is dancing with the devil but this man has moves she cannot resist.

Keaton knows he shouldn't be pursuing Cassie but he cannot help himself. He never lets his guard down but damn if this woman isn't getting under his skin in every way. There is so much he could tell her but in doing so he risks putting her in danger and exposing himself to a huge amount of trouble. Flying under the radar is something he has managed to do for years and he has no intention of changing that.

'The closer I get to her and the more I offer her, the more likely this diligent and ambitious woman will seek me out, and not only will she find me... I will want to be found.'

This thing between them was never going to end well, happy ever after is not something that Keaton Bridge has ever considered as a part of his future and he can't give Cassie the fairy tale ending she deserves to have with someone special. He can give her something to remember him by though and he is hoping that it will be enough. However, anything Keaton does usually leaves Cassie with more questions than answers, will she find the answer to the biggest secret of them all?

Having not read King of Code I had no idea what to expect reading this, I loved the characters and really enjoyed the thrilling suspense plot that was weaved throughout this story.
