Runaway, an Amazon freebie, is the prequel novella to the 7th book in the One To Hold series. Story takes place at a wedding attended by 35-year old tatted attorney Marcus Merritt and Amalie Knight, Amy, a 25-year old who abruptly left her job and boyfriend in Paris to return home to Chicago to work in PR/marketing.

Meeting up at the bar, they realize they have something in common; both are bored and why not have a one-night stand with some raw sex against walls and furniture. Hot and heavy, but before they know it their time is up…. To be continued in book 7.

It’s hard to rate novellas but I enjoyed this fast-paced and sexy interlude so I am rating it 4 stars! I am looking forward to their full story in book 7, One To Chase.

So, let me get this straight. There is a wedding with our favorite characters. There are two incredibly good-looking, smart guests connected to both of the wedding parties.

An open bar, a need to rinse out the bad taste of a love affair in Paris becoming too intense for our gal...Our guy is there; ready, willing, and able to help in her need to move on...

A secluded room ignites desire and all the lucky things two sexually charged people could want...

What could go wrong...

Only that it feels so right...

Oh, Ms. Louise, you have set the stage for One to Chase and I am on the hunt for it.

4 quick naughty dirty stars

daYUMMMM.... loved where this book picked up and where it ended, because while it was quick and dirty read, it was just enough to sate my desires until One to Chase is out. So excited for this story, and I highly recommend this shortie to all my One to Hold fan friends, plus this is a freebie!

Marcus Merritt & Amy Knight are both attending Derek & Melissa's wedding in Wilmington. Amy has just flown in from Paris & Marcus from Chicago. Marcus's sister Elaine is married to Amy's brother Patrick, but they don't know when they meet that they are somewhat family. They begin flirting, and it leads to a hot hookup that is just the distraction they are both looking for. Marcus makes plans to meet up with Amy later at the hotel, but she never shows. ONE TO CHASE is truly a stand-alone novel, with the only connection being siblings. Characters from previous novels will appear, but this book is completely separate.

This a prequel to One to Chase, we meet the two main characters, Marcus & Amy. We get a glimpse of how their one night stand, not even that, went. It was hot and intense and I loved the teasing between the two of them. She gonna be a real ball-buster. It did have an excerpt of the book and I felt a little lost not knowing exactly who is related to who. This made me want to read One to Chase which was the idea of the book but it also opened my eyes to all the other books in the series that are somehow connected, I think I will start at the very beginning with One to Hold, that way I can get to know all the characters.

Super short teaser prequel for Amy and Marcus' story. They meet at the bar at Melissa and Dereks wedding. Have a quickie in the billiard room and she runs away.

You don't need to get this stand-alone if you have One To Save. The entire teaser is at the end of that book.

No real development for Amy, she didn't make a great impression so hopefully she'll improve in her own book.
